I'm a grammar nazi, I apologize. ConfOrmation is different than confIrmation.
Maybe I missed it, but should put something in about port injection and options and when you need it. There are also different size injector options for port injection, but I suspect anyone that's getting that deep...
I still have my LS3 FRS and other than the soft rear end bushings in the FRS I agree on all points. It’s certainly a less cushy car than the Supra but I’d argue more playful (which can be viewed as more “fun” to drive)
Damn that’s a good list. I’m curious if you can elaborate on how it stacks...
The thought of the rack breaking crossed my mind as well…
I have a lot of stuff in my garage at the moment with little organization. I plan to redo the organization but this thread has brought more questions (options) than answers for me now haha!
There is one at Austin Landing (southern side of Dayton, exit 41) this Saturday and I am planning to get out and bring the supra and LS FRS. Typically it's a massive turnout and draws some of the really rare stuff (had a numbers matching 60's Charge Daytona Superbird at the last one...).
Those that have tire racks on the walls... they're always up so high, how do you get your wheels up there?
I am actively redoing my garages (single bay and a double...both have 11ft ceilings...) and trying to sort out how I want to organize.
Keep the pics coming!
I can plan for that! Sounds good, let’s get a few guys
Yeah it was owned by a guy in Ohio, built by P2uned, sold to a dealership in Missouri where I bought it and drove it back to Ohio. Car got 1000 miles (out of the 6000 total) put on it by me in the first week haha. Thanks!
Checking in from Hamilton (northern Cincy) area! Tungsten Silver, pure 850, pure stage 1 trans, flex fuel/PI, etc.
Picked it up from a guy that was up in the Cleveland area, so maybe someone has seen it previously. If you’d like to meet up, feel free to reach out!
I don't disagree. It is fast enough to create a 'straight to jail' car on the street though
The amount of times I think, ah yes that was fun I'm doing 80ish... nope, 110+... is getting a bit excessive. The trans is so quick and smooth that it just doesn't feel like the same acceleration.
I bought the car used with this setup. I'd suspect the 12 months is already up, or definitely will be if it fails. I'm hoping with it being an 850 (and according to the other Pure 850's they have on their site, the CHRA's are different) it will last a bit longer. I'm also wondering if I just...
So everyone poo poo's on Pure turbo's, which is fine. I have a Pure 850... if and when it dies, what is a good turbo to support 700 whp? I'm not looking to break records, but I do enjoy putting miles on my vehicles... simpler is better, I don't want some big top mount ordeal... stock turbo...
Bah, too many acronyms! Thanks, ZKR, noted! (see what I did there).
I'll not worry about it for now, I'm not convinced of anything from what I've read.
@zrk what is your opinion on an XHD tune for the trans? I have the pure stage 1 and I'm plenty happy with how it shifts and holds the power, but if an XHD tune would ensure more longevity I'm all for it.
In a related, but different question, is it typical for the car to try and shift into 8th...
