Nick has had the worst luck with Porsches. His second 911 might be also get lemon lawed
+1 The SUV's are what saved Porsche. 2 seater roadsters are much more niche within the sports car segment. Tack on the 4 cyl engine and you've lost the hard core Porsche elite.
Not gonna lie, I had to look it up to see what you were talking about. :D We're talking about $500 for a GT4 bro! That shit can have a burnt clutch, I'll still fix it. :drive:
I'm not going to say it's easy but I just helped my friend drop the engine out of his 911/996 to replace the IMS...
I 100% agree with everything he said. From owning various Toyotas, to love of the 90's cars, to owning a Porsche 997, to having back seats just for random stuff, to having a manual gearbox, to having cross shopped with cars in the MKV's price point, to avoiding the 1st production, to not...
Well, it perceived as a negative slight against the MKV. I was just trying to grasp how someone would not pay $500 for a GT-4. It's a badass car that unfortunately never made it Stateside. :nono:
"Not gonna lie... I rather have a Celica GT-Four than the new Supra"
"'Cool. I wouldn't pay...
 Not 100% useless. I've took my 8 and 7 yr old nephews for rides and they absolutely love it. They laugh the entire time whenever it spools up and when the BOV goes off, 'vrrrooooooommmmmm pwwwssssshhh'. I've folded down the seats and used the room to load tires, a DP, exhaust and...
Haha yeah and there are many 2+2 coupes where they only people that can sit comfortably in the back are kids, Asians and little people. The Supras have always been that configuration except for the MKV and that's because of what was given to them to use; the Z4 unibody and parts bin. It's...
Not true. The transition from the MKIII to the MKIV was the major reduction in length yet still managed to maintain the 2+2 seating. The MKV as @SupraFiend mentioned, was reduced even more to fit the 2 seater Z4 unibody. Nobua san talks about the difficulty him and his team had.
MKI: 181.7...
Ah, got it. I thought you were going to come back with real strong and compelling evidence on to why you wouldn't pay $500 for a GT-Four instead of an emotional response. $500, even if it needed a full resto, I would buy it in a heartbeat. :drive:
I absolutely agree but Nismo and Nissan puts the Skyline family on a higher pedestal then Toyota does with the Supra. There was even an article on the heritage program spanning to other vintage Datsun and Nissan vehicles. Where is Toyota among this... crickets. Maybe the forefathers of Toyota...
I believe Toyota parts manufacturing continues for approx 20 yrs from the final production year (2002). We're coming close to the end of production and IMO, by the way Toyota is treating the MKV, I wouldn't be surprised if Toyoda wanted to keep the MKIV a thing of the past.
Looking similar within car manufactures is a given across the board. BMW X1-X7 and 2-8 look the same. Toyota's and even Lexus' lineup all have similar exterior looks, same with Infiniti etc. Yes, Civics are common but the moment there is a clean JDM looking Civic, it'll catch your eye...
You can see some minor exterior changes. I like the bigger intakes in the front bumper and the rear diffuser. The wheels looks awesome and thank goodness they didn't go CL like the other GT's.
Now that we’ve seen this in the flesh, I can see where Toyota uses some similar styling cues in the...
No, you're not. TBH, the MKV lacks a lot of those small details but expected given the outcome of the product. Even the Z4 got the M logo. Something... anything.
