These are the alignment settings that were recommended by a really good suspension shop in the UK. I bought a set of camber plates from them, and after a couple foe exchanges, they sent me this based on my parts (200tw tire, Ohlins etc...) and use case (amateur time attack build)
Thoughts?
Installed these Powerflex engine mount inserts. The solid (black) ones are a bit too harsh.m These still add some NVH at idle, but nothing i can't live with.
This is really silly, but i also added these soft CR door inserts. I like CF (ish) and really don't like the black plastic vents...
Got the Ark exhaust on. Those are some big tips...
We couldn't figure out why the valves weren't working when toggling between sport and normal. They were always open. My friend used app (bimmercode? not sure) to close them and they would close for a second and then open back up.
Went to the track. This is the shortest layout, but is a pretty fun one. My pads were dead, my alignment is still way off, and it was way too hot. Still had a great time.
The Porsche all day every day. That said, i would personally still choose the Supra. Not because it's a better car....it's not....but because it fits what i want out of this car. I enjoy the process of making a car mine. Slowly building it for its intended purpose, which in my case it to have...
Those tires are incredible for offroad (sand dunes) work. Unmatched. They're a very common sight across the GCC countries. They're referred to as "900s".
Typical weekend hangout looks like this. I was in proper culture shock the first time i saw this in person
Our roads here are pretty epic in that sense. So are our tracks. Pristine condition. The downside is that we don't have as many nice winding roads as some other places. There are couple of nice mountain passes nearby though
Ok so I've put in an order for a few parts. Gonna take about 3 weeks for them to get here though
APR GTC 300 wing (67")
APR splitter
SPL rear traction arms
SPL endlinks, front and rear (still on OEM sways)
SPL rear upper lateral links
Also picked up an Ark exhaust.
Track season will likely...
What am i missing as far as the cup holder covers go? I mean yer i guess they look nice, but why would you just want to delete your cupholders? I don't even use them for cups, but it's one of the few places in the car to stash things.
If i were in the market for an EV i would be looking at Hyundai and Kia now.
If i were in the market for a ballistic EV, i would be looking at the Ioniq 5 N, and for so many reasons. Great car, quality, performance etc....but i'd also want to reward manufacturers making cars for enthusiasts...
Oof, didn't actually think about reflashing during the track day itself to try and gauge the differences.
Haven't done much research about stage 3, but from the little i've read it seems to be a bit too harsh for my setup? Stock trans basically. Am i misinformed?
i don't like legacy media either brotato.
My honest opinion here is that it was semi acceptable in 2016 - and by that i mean voting for someone who positioned himself as anti-establishment (even if it only a ruse). But tbh i don't understand how anyone doesn't see right through what's going on...
I've been on the anti-musk bandwagon since around 2010. My initial disdain has nothing to do with his recent politics (which i'm not a fan of either). He was just always a bad dude, imo.
I personally don't like EVs, but i do support the EV movement. Would even own one as a 2nd "around town"...
Flashed my transmission. xHp stage 2. Between that and the new tires, i'm really excited to get back on track. Have a track day lined up for this coming Monday evening
Def not scraping my pegs on the road. Referring to the track. Fairly certain those sportsbikes have their pegs a bit higher than a naked like mine. Even the older Duc.
I also think it depends on the track. It's really not hard to scrape your pegs on the first corner of Brands Hatch (if you're...
