From my understanding, if the dealer is reflashing or updating the DME, it removes the unlock. This has been why so many go for a cloned ecu.

Not just that but also retaining the unlock. That’s the only thing that’s kept me from getting unlocked with Femto.

Yeah I am looking for something tuneable, has option to return to stock without re-locking the DME. The cloneable DME route is pretty costly and not something many of us want to do. CARB is such a soul sucker.
