Its because the photo is taken at an odd semi-overhead angle. It will better if you look at it head on, like with some of the side profile spy shots.

Fake or not, I wish the side vents on the door were a little deeper like with the FT1. :(

It looks like they took the rear and the headlights from the 2020 Vision concept and pasted them onto the R35.

The overhang and side profile looks acceptable to me.
