It will be pretty close. So far it has taken 6 years to develop. By launch time it could be closer to 7 years.
On another note, what does "launched early 2019" mean? Unveiling at autoshow, start of production, or available at dealership showrooms?
I also think more stuff will come out after the unveiling of the Z4. Right now I don't think BMW would be too happy if Supra related leaks were to steal the limelight from their car.
I hope they bring the Supra concept to a US auto show. Between the two I would rather see the GR Supra in person. While the FT1 probably looks more cool and has more of a wow factor, the GR concept is more production ready and helps gives an idea of whats under all the camo wrap.
Thanks for posting!
I wonder if that means the following:
Low: 335hp as reported by Bestcarweb and Guff's source.
Mid: 350hp as stated by those that attended the Toyota dealer meeting in Texas.
High: 400hp+ GRMN model that A70TTR can't talk about lol.
The Z4 concept and prototype pretty much has the same proportions. Sadly that Autobild rendering still uses proportions from the FT1.
Also Guff's source said it look like the modified version of BestCarweb's rendering.
That was not my intent. If anything it shows that turbo to turbo, the new one will be around $10k less.
You need to look at the whole picture. The A80 did fine in the US for the first 3 years. The 96s took a sales dive cause the manual transmission was pulled. The 97s sales went up a little...
