I hear ya. I would still recommend taking it to the dealer and asking them about it. It's not normal and may be something they can work out for you.

I get that, but why is it bad? Lots of people on here complain about a CEL and this is a solution to that problem.

Can you enlighten me as to why that's not a good way to do it?

How do they pull off a catless downpipe and not pop a CEL?

I'm interested in one or two of these when they become available again!

Excellent point re: electrical tape. I say it half-joking, but I've done it in cars before ('96 VW GTI VR6). That car had so many of the engine internals replaced the CEL was a constant friend and I had to read the codes to determine what was going on anyways. Off topic, but man I miss the sound...

Just so we understand what we're seeing here, when you say A90 do you mean the 2020 model year and A91 do you mean the 2021? These are all A90 Supra's - the A91 is just the special edition cars that were put out. This is important to the comparison you're putting out.
