I just feel bad for you guys for having a slower car and more problems than us auto folk ?
Joking aside, I don't mind helping out the Supra community when I can.
I still think I am going to try out the CR-S when these tires die.... Just curious if they last longer or not. I will give up a little bit of performance if they last twice as long, you know?
Clutch Masters is right up the street from me and I am actually good friends with them. Could probably talk them into a group buy if you guys are interested.
You guys havent tried the RT660s yet? Mine seriously look like they didnt wear at all after one track day (55 miles on track). Good grip and they never over heated.
I will have to give those a try!
Wouldnt be a bad idea to use with what Bryan mentioned too.
The real question is - how do I stop the center caps from melting off? Haha. Going to guess I should just pop them out before the event. They didnt fly off on the track, rather in the lot after I was...
Ok so it makes a difference then. Haha. I was flat out there every lap with some confidence to spare. Honestly had zero pucker moments. With your driving, I could see a 1.55 possible! Download that pic and post it!
Edit - forgot to mention I melted my weights and center caps off.... no brake...
Haha. I know exactly what you mean. Love the way it handles even though I have too much understeer with my setup. Were you able to go flat out on turns 2 to 3 and 6 to 7? Not sure if my aero really made any difference on that track.
Good driving and good meeting you there! I managed to squeak in a 1.59.1 with traffic at the last turn on my final session. Not bad for my first time out on a big track with the Supra!
The FP Green has always been like a +1 to a stock turbo. Its never had crazy gains on other platforms so I am not expecting much on the Supras. The FP Red, Black and Zero were the ones that made some good power. As long as these things dont start smoking like all the other turbos on the market...
Upgrading the tires to a quality 200tw tire is going to be the best way to start. Honestly, I didnt notice any difference when I did lowering springs. However, coilovers made a huge difference. I would do sway bars (if your class is ok with it) before springs. Skip on the braces and work on seat...
