This is almost entirely useless, but I thought I'd figure out what that sticker on the steering wheel said.
"After stretch, evening and
Read weekend trip and
Clear fault memory
1. End of trip (read out)
2. Start of journey (delete)"
That's Google Translate btw lol. Not particularly useful...
hey now, RR Racing cracked the ISF ECU, ten years after the cars release... :p:p:p
Yeah, a BMW ECU would be really good hahaha. Integrating a standalone into a modern CANBUS system is an expensive nightmare, so having something tunable would be a godsend.
It's not that we don't think it's possible that we'll get a Toyota/Lexus V6, it's just that every Toyota person I've ever talked to has said it's not. Also they all called it the Supra as well.
:dunno:
I'd love to hope for the best as well, but we're just relaying the information we've been given.
I think D4S in and of itself is radical enough of a change that we can call it a Toyota designed head as it will likely require changing the valve angle, port design, and manifold. I have a strong feeling that this motor will indeed get a new designation on the BMW side, and maybe even a JZ-FTS...
Alright gents, the second episode of the series is out! We visit temples in the countryside, fail miserably at fitting in with the Japanese, and cruise in a friend's 600hp Supra to Daikoku PA for a night meet.
Interesting! Supra starts at 6:40 and is roughly a minute sequence for anyone wondering.
The wheels look cool, and the rears are 275/40/18, running the old Michelin Pilot Super Sports. That's a shit-ton of tire, pardon my french, especially for the low-spec car. Interior is straight up BMW, so...
I personally think the options list will look as exhaustive as this:
It'll just say Toyota instead of BMW lol. Oh, and sans Dual Clutch of course :D:D:D
Joking aside, I just want Android Auto. Maybe some MR dampers, if they're well set up like the Alfa Guilia QV. Couldn't care less about...
That's exactly why Toyota won't release the lower spec model in the US/Canada. Market competition here is unreasonable for Toyota to bring a cheap car they would potentially lose money on (yen to dollar is weak) or a low spec car that gets ripped apart in the press because of price.
The only...
:p:p:p
And yeah I have no doubt there will be a couple of special editions. Seems to be all Toyota USA knows how to do lol. FRS gets 1 or 2 new ones every year! Plus we'll get TRD aero, TRD catback/axleback, TRD door stabilizers, CFRP Strut Braces, etc etc. :confused1:
Yup!
Marketing and Sales strategy is still tbd on this car, as it's still too far out. That is something we can get solid information when info does become available, as we are lucky to have friends at Toyota USA (some of which may be reading this very comment :D).
Just going off of my own...
I think another good reason is the fact that a BRZ with a performance pack and special paint costs the same. Price estimates from the manufacturer never get overestimated, especially in projects like these. Nobody predicts rising developments costs or even simply inflation when they make initial...
