  1. Let's talk about reliability

I realized I was confusing JD Power and Consumer Reports. But the point still stands, where's Porsche? Very strange.
  2. Let's talk about reliability

Oh wow, Toyota eclipsed Lexus this year? Impressive! Also, Porsche has dropped from the top 10 list, which is interesting.
  3. Why I Think Everyone is Wrong About the MKV (Video)

I'll just add one thing: Details and numbers have their place, but the driving experience is the end all. Everyone can complain that 86 isn't an AE86 successor because of Subarus and boxers, but I've driven both extensively, and I can honestly say that there very much is a shared experience...
  4. Interview Questions for Detroit from the Fans

Agreed. Let's hope the manual doesn't get cut either for whatever reason haha!
  5. Interview Questions for Detroit from the Fans

Whatever you read was wrong. And the Z3 is just the predecessor to the Z4. 86 is a Toyota/Subaru long into the foreseeable future.
  6. Interview Questions for Detroit from the Fans

I hate to say it, but don't count on it. I'm about 80% sure that it'll be a ZF8HP TC Auto, in both the Z4 and Supra. There's a chance for the DCT, but I don't think BMW really wants to put it in a non-M car. Personally, I like the ZF box better than almost all DCTs, but most people won't agree...
  7. Interview Questions for Detroit from the Fans

Yeah, exactly right. Toyota implemented it nearly a decade ago in their UR motors and it's now in almost all of their engines. It's fantastic tech, I'm a big fan of it. And Toyota knows everyone wants it so they use it as a bargaining chip in projects like these. Ford recently implemented their...
  8. Interview Questions for Detroit from the Fans

Well, I think it's pretty likely D4S is the headlining (lol) addition for head revision. Toyota wants it in everything and I'm sure BMW would love the tech. Good news for us because it means port injectors will be swappable if we want more fuel. As far as trans goes, I doubt it's an Aisin...
  9. The A70TTR Dedication Thread!

We're very lucky to have him IMO because while a few of us also are occasionally getting info from various inside sources, we aren't at liberty to discuss it on the internet without getting into big trouble :p. As with anything though, take everything with a grain of salt. Things are always...
  10. Interview Questions for Detroit from the Fans

Toyota loves their Torsens, as do I, but BMW does not share that love unfortunately. Will be interesting to see what they end up with!
  11. Possible Debut at Tokyo?

Thanks man! I definitely recommend it, I really enjoyed my time there and can't wait to go back.
  12. Possible Debut at Tokyo?

Alright guys! It took a little bit, but here's the first episode of the Albon in Japan series, proudly supported by SupraMKV.com, of course! In the series, we're exploring Japanese culture, the significance of cars in Japan, and what it is that makes a JDM car so special. It's shaping up to...
  13. Collection of information: what we know so far

If I was a BMW, I'd probably set fire to myself too. Nice info in this thread gents!
  14. Scion FR-S / Toyota 86 / Subaru BRZ

Yeah, that's just a Nur-Spec Zenki 86 (Circa 2012) with a BBK on it. Also, the factory car comes with 2 piston sliders from the factory, not single piston lol. I'm assuming the article meant 4 piston fixed, but there have been 6 piston TRD Brembos and 4 piston Performance Pack options for years...
  15. 2019 Toyota Supra Prototype Reveals Production Intent Design/Parts

Is there an outward visual difference between the Specs right now?
  16. 2019 Toyota Supra Prototype Reveals Production Intent Design/Parts

Cayman S, good benchmark, but perhaps a little lower on outright performance than most people were thinking? Certainly bang on for vehicle dynamics though. :D
  17. MKV Toyota Supra Photoshops & Renders based on FT-1 & Prototypes

Man, I used to draw so much back in High School, but I haven't picked up my sketchbook since then. Maybe if I find time, I'll try to draw something. I never was great at cars though haha. ^^That drawing is gorgeous though!
  18. Possible Debut at Tokyo?

I'm still working on all the media stuff, but here's a cool snippet of us taking a ride in the legendary 2JZ Rolls Royce Phantom
  19. Possible Debut at Tokyo?

Then, how can we forget? The hearbreaker herself: And lastly, the 86-based HV-Sports Concept. Yeah, it looks super weird, and it'll never make it to production, but it's all good Toyota, you do you: Oh yeah, and then there was the GRMN Yaris, which was technically the most...
  20. Possible Debut at Tokyo?

UPDATE 2: Here's the coverage of the Toyota Event. Nothing too special, unfortunately, but still nice to see some of these concepts IRL. Beyond the Mobility Concepts, there were a few cool cars, such as the new Toyota Century: And of course, the Toyota TJ Cruiser Van-Thingy...
