The Q&A was so hard to hear with the music in the background, but it sounds like Tada said work on the Supra started before the FT1, but people loved it so much that they worked with Calty to incorporate some of the styling cues onto the Supra.
^I have friends with Camrys with the same issue. However, their VINs weren't included with the recall. They have been trying to fight it by calling and email ToyotaUSA, so far nothing. :(
This one is with Yoshihiro Sawa and has more to do with Lexus, but the Supra was brought up towards the end.

This maybe a dumb question, but why did Toyota skip "A50"?
I have always felt meh towards the A40/A60, but I think the A70 and A80 both look good for their time period. And if I'm being honest 2000GT > any generation of the Supra.
