Yep, and keeping in mind the documents I read were old. I'm sure there's newer and cooler things in the pipeline
Hopefully a neutral function like in the GT3RS... (hold both paddles to "disengage clutch")
TEMS!
Also, anyone read up on the ZF8? Interesting points to note
- It can hold A LOT of torque.
- The torque converter can be replaced with either a launch clutch OR a 47hp electric motor.
Perhaps there's something in the selection of this transmission that hints at Toyota's plans for the SPX
Unless the ZF8 is available in transaxle, it's doubtful, as awesome as it would be.
Manual linkages aren't too bad - cables and pneumatic are other solutions.
JZA80 seats are also a joke. Seat in normal positon (I'm only 6'0") and there's be maybe 40mm (1.57" for you Americans :p) of room between rear seat cushion and back of the front seat.
The GT86/FRS was far better (I had one)
A61 had the only slightly useful rear seats of any Supra :P
At least the faux-sequential change on the shifter is the correct way (back = up, forward = down)
and you can clearly see an 'ESC off' button
but I can also see an electronic handbrake. sadness.
but if someone (other than porsche) know how to do an ace driving position, it's our friend's in...
I wonder whether this concept could be a race (GT3?) concept, or perhaps, a road-racer special - like the 911 GT3RS? Perhaps a hint at the GRMN version?
I am still crossing fingers for a big central tacho...
I know a lot of people are assuming a BMW parts bin special, but I assumed the comments related to that refered more to materials and manufacture, with the odd switch or indicator stalk being borrowed from BMW... fingers crossed again?
