The engine is a B58 BMW turbo six The stats are not leaks, it is all rumour and conjecture. We do know the car is not heavy. It is in the 1200kg range in mid trim.

no mechanical linkage between rack and steering wheel is not superior. in an electrical fault, you have no control over the wheels. there is no redundancy in an emergency. IIRC there is no manufacturer silly enough to remove the mechanical linkage. not to mention the size and power requirements...

I'm ok with a lower trim open, as long as I can has it with a side if B58 goodness ;) I don't need satnav or other pimp options.
