Have a look at all the fine lines and creases (green) I reckon the red japanese magazine render is going to me almost spot on. Also, the yellow vents. we've seen them lots but what are they? brake ducts? active aero?
  2. Toyota Supra Spied with Production Bumper, Side Vents and Wheels!

Nah, that whole front end is covered in fake panels, masking the shape of the light
  3. Toyota Supra Racing Version Thread

  4. Why I'm NOT Hyped About The New Toyota Supra

The engine is a B58 BMW turbo six The stats are not leaks, it is all rumour and conjecture. We do know the car is not heavy. It is in the 1200kg range in mid trim.

  6. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

interesting theory, if the base model SPX came in at a similar price point to the GT86 - which was one of the reasons that it was such a success
  7. Production LED headlights and taillights first look!

A few months after they unveil the car at Geneva. Just like the pattern we saw with the FT86II concept - a few months later, prototypes without cladding appeared.
  8. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

I'm keen to hear more about the ZF8HP. What's it most comparable to in today's market, in terms of transmissions? The 8 speed in the ISF isn't bad, and the 722.9 in the C63 is ok too, but it's not a shade on a Porsche DSG....
  9. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

for some people, there is an emotional aspect to owning and driving a car. this includes shifting gears yourself, and how it sounds. it's all subjective. some people circlejerk over brands, names, 'ring lap times, what others are driving. it's irrelevant. some people will be happy to drive an...
  10. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

and the same reason weirdos like me jump in my 34 year old supra and grin like an idiot**, even when I have a 2010 AMG sitting there as well. **don't think i could handle a stock one though lol... Boaty McBoatface
  11. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

no mechanical linkage between rack and steering wheel is not superior. in an electrical fault, you have no control over the wheels. there is no redundancy in an emergency. IIRC there is no manufacturer silly enough to remove the mechanical linkage. not to mention the size and power requirements...

I'm ok with a lower trim open, as long as I can has it with a side if B58 goodness ;) I don't need satnav or other pimp options.
  13. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

I wonder what defines the upper and lower trims - engine size or luxury options?
  14. MKV Toyota Supra Dimensions & Specs leaked in Best Car Magazine

Doesn't it say 3.8 for the turbo? I know this is all guestimates, but still...
  15. "THE LEGEND RETURNS" - Toyota Tweets the "Supra" will be shown at Geneva

Thankfully the 86 was starting at $30k AUD here, once car we actually didn't get screwed on in terms of price.
  16. Toyota Supra finally spied testing Stateside!

from memory, once the FT86II concept was out, we started seeing mules without plastic fake panels, and purely just the camo patterns over the real body. fingers crossed we see a similar process after March 6th...
  17. "THE LEGEND RETURNS" - Toyota Tweets the "Supra" will be shown at Geneva

awesome cheers... good to know. My lack of understanding of US/global price points means I get easily confused with this stuff... The base LC500 is 200k here - just like an R35
  18. "THE LEGEND RETURNS" - Toyota Tweets the "Supra" will be shown at Geneva

Is a Toyota that can take on the R35 GT-R shitting in the nest of the upcoming LC-F?? I'd love to see a lightweight hardcore Toyota taking on the GT-R, even if I can't afford it for 20 years (like my JZA80 funnily enough)
