Before you also get flame, I will answer: the title of this thread is in regards to cars that are not running.
Yep. That's the one I'm going with, should my car fail to start. Fingers crossed as I (thankfully) have no way to test LOL
Yeah. But nobody I know has one. So, I sit here thinking, "my brake pads came off super easy. Why is everyone having to much trouble??". Apparently lack of a putty knife is the reason. LOL
The OBD-II check on 2006 and later cars (based on what I've had to deal with) is not fun. I'm interested to find how easy it is or isn't to return to 100% stock. ROM ID, CVN, etc, etc.
I will not touch this ECU until I know I can put it back for smog or resale purposes.
I can't help but to think that was some sort of a way to weed out high-risk, high-payout vehicles. They seem to be clamping down. I had to ditch my LLC in Montana because all the insurance companies I called had the location's address on record and refused to cover any vehicles registered to...
Since you were doing lowering springs, I wasn't sure if handling is what you were after. If lowering for looks then I wasn't sure why the sway bars. Gracias, for the reply.
If after performance, stock height is better than lowering springs, due to geometry.
I haven't researched sway bars with...
KW makes some decent stuff if you want a pony up about five figures. The stuff they make for the street, such as their V3, is garbage. It can't be tuned and hard to find anybody rebuild it. The club sport is marginally okay, in my opinion, but their motorsport stuff is not bad at all.
You sir...
No. Very shortly after, I was at a point where I could finally get my GT3 but wasn't able to because I was saddled with a new Supra payment.
I don't dislike the car. It's a really, REALLY great track car.... but I would have been happier with the Porsche.
On the bright side, I used said funds to...
Annually with one track day per month. Stock power.
OEM diff fluid (only a couple of track days, so have the rest of the year to figure it out) and Castrol SRF brake fluid.
Stiffer springs are fine if the rest of the car is built around them. Lowering the car is not. It throws off the suspension geometry, and these cars do not like that.
It will be slower.
Just remember that the lowering springs are going to negatively affect your performance at the racetrack. Not a big deal, of course, as long you're not as competitive as some of us may or may not be ...
?
... But also keep in mind if you get hooked you will end up this way. LOL
I hadn't noticed many people going through this process for an unlock - seems most are waiting for ECUs to go the cloning route, if going through the trouble. I didn't realize there so many going through with it.
I live in CA where an unlock would fail smog. I keep forgetting EVERYONE else can...
If you use your turn signal, it doesn't try to force you back into your lane.
I know, I know. These are BMWs. ?
Also, I've been trying to find a way to disable driver assist permanently. So far, no luck. It sucks having to turn them off every time you start the car.
Hold down the button. Done...
