Kinda. E25-E30 seems to be the most popular. It reduces the chance of knock. It's a bit of a hassle estimating that my e85 pump is prob e70.... Then doing more math to estimate how much approx E70 + 91oct = approx E25 lol.
Too much ethanol and I run lean. Too little and your tuning map is off...
What I've learned using the JB4 I run 91oct U.S. with a bit of e85 to keep things safe-ish:
1. The pre-loaded maps weren't very good. I suppose better than nothing, but not worth $500+. At one point, my car completely cut power because boost was getting weird. Not fun on anything other than map...
Is there an official lap time thread here and I'm not seeing it? Nothing gets me fired up more than seeing some target times to shoot for when I visit a track.
If not, I'd volunteer to keep it updated.
I just went through this. I was unable to unlink via the previous owner's info (option was unavailable) so I emailed them from within the app, I think, gave them the previous owner's info, and asked for a reset. They did it same day.
My Evo is the most fun I've ever had in a car. Everyone thinks you get mad crazy traction and it drives itself. My sideways antics beg to differ. I get all the slip angle I want. ?
I'm a fan of multiple cars. I kept my daily, Supra, fancy car, tow/doggie vehicle, race car, motorcycle, and a car I keep for my mom.
I won't be happy until I own the world.
I'm in for anything that offers additional reliability, durability, or power workout sacrificing one of the others. I can make an exception for something that simply adds to the driving experience (I am adding an exhaust, after all).
If it's for looks: no thanks.
A bit of gentle boost and decel to seat rings has always been the way I do things. I know it's old school, but I don't think engines have changed that much.
Viewing from my phone with tired eyes = looks like the car is missing panels ? unpainted body panels always throw me off LOL. I had to do a double take.
I kinda dig the "perpetually unfinished" look. Because I like project cars. ??
I put PPF on high-risk areas (fronts of rear quarter panels, sideskirts, etc). I don't like how it looks when the car is covered.
I guess if you are saving the car for the next owner and don't mind having it all removed before selling the car (assuming you are doing it to keep the paint nice)...
Plain, dry newspaper will remove it. If it's really bad, you may need to spray on a cleaner first, but plain paper works for maintenance. I have a car with a leather dash and I still get a bit of the hazing, the plastic dashes are just a bit worse, especially if parked in the sun a lot.
I have...
Stoner Invisible Glass is, hands down, the best cleaner I've found. Airway or foam. I use it with newspaper. Black and white pages only, without pictures, if possible. Never leaves lint or streaks.
There are some decent microfiber towels, specific for windows, that work decent. I can't remember...
