Finally made it: trip to the Peaks - here's the route I took: "Surprise View Car park" to Slackhall - going through Hope Valley, Winnats Pass, Castleton and Rushop Edge.
Ran into a massive TVR convoy and a Caterham convoy as well, we were belting around rushop edge, best drive I've had in the...
Hi mate and welcome.
Thanks for posting - Not that I am aware of. There is also a private fb group with some activity/meets by the way. I recently went to AdamCFest in Northampton but there was only 1 Supra.
Just checked and there's only tickets left for Thursday for Goodwood, I might go but...
Hi,
Non-mechanic / non-dyi guy here - so I read a lot about this cdv topic, and how some are saying it can lead to pre-mature clutch wear - is this true, can someone explain?
And, how does the Supra's rev matching affect cdv / cdv issues?
If the wear on the clutch is caused by two speeds...
Fellas,
Had my MK5 MT '23 for almost 9 months now, hard to believe, still less than 2k on it.
With the dry weather here now, I want to have a proper "GT" drive up in the peak district.
I have been there before several times in my daily but we always went there for hiking spots/holidays, never...
Forgot to say - I went there (didn't bring Supra in the end) there was only 1 Grey mk V, looked quite nice with a bodykit.
Event organization was a shambles, they literally didn't have enough food so people waited in line over 1 hour to get some overpriced crap. Totally ruined.
As always, this is highly dependant on personal circumstances, I think it's down to how wealthy you are and what the Supra means to you.
For some, the Supra is a dream car, you save up and buy it brand spanking new to ensure it's kept pristine for many years, engine break in properly done, etc...
Indeed - the dispensing needle tip is ever so small, it's hard to tell from the photo, hence the objective is to dispense such a small amount whereby the surface tension is ideally sufficient to defeat the gravity drip - that's the theory... but in practise I will probably start swearing, bin...
No, not this time.
I bought the primer + paint kit, but just noticed there was also a bundle with clear coat as a third stage, bugger.
I won't bother this time but I might buy the lacquer pen for the next round of touch ups maybe 6 months down the line.
To be honest I am not overly worried as...
Nice one well done mate - do share photos :)
In the mean time, today the final tool I needed for the touch up arrived from ebay, some dispensing needles (I am squeamish, hate needles, so it was super awkward to get this in the post lol).
I chose to try this tool instead of the basic touch up...
^Sorry, just trying to think, I get that it's for testing purposes, but in BAU driving, when / why would you need to do that specific sequence of events?
Why would you touch the brake pedal if the parking brake is on in the first place? (To be clear, I pretty much never use the e-brake anyway...
I did something quite unpopular today, and not as "cool" - treating all (reasonably accessible) rubber seals on the car with liquimoly rubber conditioner, such a great product.
Window frames, doors, hood and trunk 360° all way around.
It's quite an uncomfortable, messy task and time consuming...
^ this is by far the most comprehensive and reputable video I have found regarding this matter - I also have a thread where shortly (as soon as I get some bloody time...) I will be touching up my yellow supra deep rock chips, ideally using a syringe and documenting the results. Hope this helps...
Sorry just so I understand, is this your car you just wrapped and you're not sure whether you're happy with the result, or just asking in general?
I personally think it looks awesome, very '3D' effect, kind of like those grey new Audis that have a similar color to that.
Cheers mate - any guesses why it says "out of stock" when you select '2022+'? Weird, did they change the design of the inner wheel arch from 2022 Supras? ?
I am even more worried than OP to do this hence why holding off for now - Look forward to hearing how it goes and congrats in advance for building up the courage, great to see all the useful supportive messages here gents ?
