NASA is different from SCCA in a lot of ways.
For NASA TT- which I have also done. it is open passing because they-unlike SCCA- run a TT session WHILE an HPDE is going on. SO the TT can open pass because they are NOT going to wait...
Shouldn’t be any passing. Scca TT I compete in you are staged fastest to slowest after a qualifying session w transponders.
We only have 2-4 good laps before the tires go away. We run 11/10ths effort usually !

Will say the Garmin is pretty cool. I mostly run with out timers unless doing time trials. Most of my lines come from my butt and feeling out a track and where the car wants to bind up, push, etc.
But i can see the easily where i can shave over a second at this...
