Give this video a watch if you haven't already:
They make points about the Supra that frankly I completely agree with: the rear end stability is absolute garbage in stock form.
Does it understeer? Sure does! BUT, it will also oversteer when you don't expect it too. OR, it might do a bit of...
The mode that encourages you to put more load on the engine is the mode that will theoretically be "worse". Also take into account Sport mode disables Auto Start-Stop while in Normal mode you have to disable it manually.
My dad had a plethora of cars, the more notable ones:
Plymouth Superbird (it got stolen, then retrieved but the wing was missing, then stolen again and never to be found)
Two MGBs, which he cut both in half and welded the two half’s together to make a complete car
70s Toyota Celica
His last car...
Fun watch. Loved the commentary from an auto driver's perspective. I need to make it out to that road sometime (it's about a 16 hour drive without stops for me).
Here's a recent short run I did on a road not far from my house. I normally take it easy on this little back road due to horses and...
This is very insightful. I have LW flywheels on all my other cars but they are also track or mostly track only cars. But I think you are right about a road car which is what my Supra primarily is - keeping the DM is the way to go.
Wondering how you still feel about NVH/chatter increase on your setup now that you've put some distance on it? Asking because I've driven BMWs in the past that went to a single mass flywheel and the noise/chatter increase was very noticeable.
Damn bro that sucks. I hate that state with a passion I kid you not. They will let more than 16,000 homes burn down this year (so far) but you better not have an exhaust on your car!!! (I lived there for 30 years and ran a smog shop for 7 of them).
Good luck on your journey with the state ref.
It does work incredibly well that's for sure. My car is always available for you to thrash if you wanna try it out.
I still refuse to use it tho. I'll fuck up my rev matching and heel toeing on my own.. LIKE A MAN ?
That's fair.
For the record this is the longest my hair has ever been in my life. At the request of my wife.
But also here's another video because you love them so much ;)
Something about chirping 5th gear on a backroad ?
Manual for life! :) ?
