Food for thought:
The new 2026 M2-CS with 523-hp will not be coming with a manual because BMW said their current manual drive train is not reliable at the increased 523-hp. Assuming it's the same ZF S6-53 found in our Supra, that should tell you a little something about where it loses reliability.
I do think mechanically, removing the CDV can prevent clutch wear on hard shifts or clutch kicks. That's the main reason I removed mine as I like to drift the car.
The answer is a bit of a mixed bag.
There are multiple owners that report their clutch failed before 15,000 miles at stock power levels, or slipped shortly after putting on a tune. Then there are users like coyfish that don't have any problems at all within the 500-600wtq range.
I believe you...
I too love Bw EFR series. I have an 8374 on my large ported 13B Rx7. Great turbo, hasn’t let me down. 20psi by 3800rpm (which is really good for a rotary engine that’s ported to all hell). Can only imagine what it would be like on a torque happy B58.
Thanks for the response - yeah I had the yellow ones as well but I am manual... I'm assuming the autos buffer out NVH more than manuals... hell I'm starting to think the manuals just have a lot more power/drive train slop in general. ?
Watching this thread.
Particularly interested in a twinscroll setup that comes as close as possible to the OEM response (or dare I say even better?) while giving a far greater engine output.
IMO, it’s irrelevant. I’ve played with tire pressure between 30psi and 40psi and lower helps a little, but simply because it gives the tire a better coefficient of friction. I think in reality as verkiline and others have pointed out the issue is inherent in the factory suspension geometry.
I see your point Phil. But we both know nothing is guaranteed in life and their response IMO was very well thought out and analytical while at the same time not making BS promises to try and force the sale of any particular part. The fact that they didn’t make any promises is indicative of a...
Update:
Got a response directly from Verkline on the issue and have posted it in my original post in this thread. It provides a wealth of information so I suggest those in this thread go give it a read :)

yeah that’s what I did. Big improvement. Only NVH is at idle when the AC cycles but even then it’s not much at all. 100% would do again. The trans mounts however were wayyyy too much nvh so I took em out.
yes Phil. All my race stories are entirely fabricated just so I can look cool to a bunch of complete strangers on a dying communication medium. All the trophies I have were purchased directly from a trophy shop and I somehow convinced my wife to post in a bikini with the fake championship trophy...
I am! Fucking love the hell outta my wife. She’s my pit crew when I compete in races, will double duty my car with me in casual motorsports events like drift days, and doesn’t lose her shit when I spend retarded amounts of money on my cars. A couple months ago I raced a S550 Mustang GT coming up...
My thing is if the car is gonna be 3300lbs+ then it BETTER have good power, if not what's the point? And yeah you are absolutely right the 370z just always fell short even with FBO and a tune where as the Supra is great.
Since you brought the 86 into the conversation, I'm gonna controversially...
