Can we please drop the politics and get back to the topic at hand of whether or not annoying crevices on cars is a Big Powertool conspiracy to sell more leafblowers to car enthusiasts for car drying?
It's a modern car; the only thing you really need to avoid until up to temp (and really more like until the oil is plenty warmed up) is full throttle abusing the engine. Just let it sit for the 5-10 seconds until the RPMs drop on first startup and you're good to drive even without being a grandma.
If any other shops figure it out and actually do as good a job as FEMTO (and not some jank crap that can't run BM3/MHD like a certain other unlocker claims to have...) you'll probably save $100 on the service and $100-200 on shipping. Is a couple hundred bucks on a service that costs a grand or...
It is extremely important that working class citizens can't make 5% more emissions in their weekend fun car to make up for the hundreds of Hollywood millionaires who take private jet flights from LA to San-Fran and back dozens of times a year. Thank you for your understanding.
General logic would suggest that maximum weight savings whilst maintaining adequate structural integrity is the highest priority.
If you can make something in 18's that are at least closeish to RPF-1 weights, that would get track guys here very interested, but if you end up in the 22+ pound...
Could be a number of reasons why it's like that. Maybe the pervious owner preferred the 2023+ wheels and swapped them, or maybe some dumb tech scraped the hell out of the stock wheels on a curb and the 2023+ were the only ones that Toyota could get their hands on to replace them.
Just inside...
It technically is safe assuming you're running a map 6 that's tuned for it. There have been JB4 pure800/850 builds that have more or less worked alright in the past.
That being said, nobody, not even Jesse, recommends running a hybrid/upgraded turbo on JB4; you really should get an unlock and...
These errors all stem from the steering angle sensors being in conflict or not reading properly. Same thing that happens if your steering wheel is way off-center after an alignment.
Double check your install to ensure everything is on straight. May have to get it recalibrated at Toyota or...
Stage 1 barely does anything; it's Stage 2 for quicker shifts while still feeling smooth, Stage 3 for even quicker shifts but more aggressive/firm shifts (they still feel pretty smooth to me, though.)
Haven't had time to go to the strip or get any runs in since getting the revised E40 map done, sadly. Nearest 1/4 strip that's open on weekends is almost 2 hours away in Orlando which sucks (Bradenton strip doesn't do test n tune / open drag days on weekends and I'm not interested in an hour...
Duraflex never makes their products for any form of performance, it's always just "to look cool" (usually doesn't), so I wouldn't trust it. It'd be more cost effective to get a hood vent and pay a body shop to install it for you, if you care about the performance aspect of it.
Also, that hood...
I run ~E40 without issues, but it did take Jesse and I several revisions to get it fully smooth (part of that is also because of the scorching IAT's thanks to the Florida heat, though.)
Personally I'd stick to a Pure 800/900 or Omega 65 over doing a top-mount kit if what you want is 600 WHP or so. Not much of a point in a top-mount at that power unless you really wanna make your car a show car.
