  1. Heating management

Can confirm hood vents are a big help with keeping the engine bay cool, with my vented Seibon hood opening the hood after a long drive went from feeling like opening an oven to feeling barely any warmer than ambient when first opened. Didn't seem to help IAT's much though, even when highway...
  2. WTB 1x MT OEM Front wheel

Have you tried any dealers yet? Might be a better route to go, I don't know that anyone who has their original set still would be willing to sell just one of the 4 wheels.
  3. Toyota Teases GR Line Up: Supra MK6, Celica MK8, MR2 MK4, 86 MK3 and GR GT

Right, while the market is definitely not very large, what i'm saying is the smart way to go is target the MK6 at the 85K range and more or less market itself as a 911 non-turbo alternative with more power for much less money. I definitely get that most 911 buyers have deep pockets and are...
  4. Toyota Teases GR Line Up: Supra MK6, Celica MK8, MR2 MK4, 86 MK3 and GR GT

So the alternatives to the 911 are either modern heavy BMW's with numb everything and that need bodykits to not look like crap, or a car that looks like a wannabe lambo that you'll see 30 of on every trip to the grocery store? Barf! Lol Jokes aside, they're all great cars, but not quite what...
  5. Toyota Teases GR Line Up: Supra MK6, Celica MK8, MR2 MK4, 86 MK3 and GR GT

Only next-gen GR car I would upgrade the MK5 to is the MK6 if it's a proper supercar or borderline supercar for 100K or less. If Toyota's smart they'll make the GR MR2/Celica a Cayman competitor and target the non-turbo 911 for the MK6 Supra. There really aren't many good 911 competitors these...
  6. New room mate for supra

Of course not, I probably should have clarified that what I'm saying is 90%+ of the Z06's I see are owned by old people who drive speed limit at best and shift as low as possible for idk gas savings? Even at the front of the line at a stop light, or coming onto a highway on-ramp, they never give...
  7. 2026 Supra vs BMW M2 - Savagegeese

The nail in the coffin for me was that it STILL has the fuel starve issue on hard turns below 75% of a tank that the 350Z and 370Z have. And that it has an open-deck engine that's known to not be able to handle much power past stock without needing to swap the block or seriously building the...
  8. 2026 Supra vs BMW M2 - Savagegeese

won't lie, I actually like the full Adro kit on the M2. That being said, feeling like I need to spend $20,000 plus cost of paint/wrap to make a $75,000 car look acceptable is not something I am into at all. Meanwhile all that the Supra "needs" for me is a trunk spoiler and spacers to look good.
  9. â–ş APEX Wheels | 5 Spoke Wheel Survey

I've never heard of Apex wheels failing either, not saying that their wheels are bad in the slightest in fact I've recommended them to people before. I'm saying that you're taking a risk when you buy "direct from source" even if they're "the exact same wheel" because of how much harder it would...
  10. â–ş APEX Wheels | 5 Spoke Wheel Survey

The benefit is if you snap your spokes on the highway and roll the car into a concrete wall at 80 MPH you actually have a western company you can go after and sue (I doubt insurance will cover a major accident caused by buying chinese modifications.) Buy it direct from China and good luck ever...
  11. New room mate for supra

I love the Z06, probably what I would pick if I "upgraded" and wanted a car I wasn't going to mod much if at all. Boomers bought Z06's for 30 years just to drive under the speed limit in socks and sandals, I think all Z06's have accepted their fate at this point.
  12. Dealership Joy Ride Shenanigans?

Botched install aside, being a car enthusiast in Cali's gotta be hell man. Ugly front plate requirements, 91 Octane max in most areas, gas is twice as expensive as elsewhere, and the laws against mods and tuning are getting stricter by the day.
  13. Radar Detector

^ I'd recommend using the search function to answer typical questions like Rensuhlo said But to answer it here, I use a Uniden R8 and it's great and has saved me from several tickets already (not driving like a dumbass, like doing 15 over on a highway or empty back road and knowing Tampa Bay...
  14. CF Factory Spoiler - Seal Pushed Out & Dealer Clueless

Depends if the dealer itself is equipped to deal with body work at all, or maybe they don't hire idiots so they can actually handle just fixing weather stripping / glue on a spoiler piece. I'd cherish that!
  15. CF Factory Spoiler - Seal Pushed Out & Dealer Clueless

^ This is usually how it works, especially with a car like the Supra. Whenever I had to get my window actuator replaced they kept trying to send me to their collision center. (I eventually just used a 3rd party shop because I did not feel like losing my car for 2+ weeks like always happens with...
  16. XHP Reviews and Feedback!

Stage 3 is safe/fine on stock trans, I'm 3000 miles on mine @ ~500TQ and I drive the car hard for most of my miles.
  17. AWD supra vs GTR

I'm surprised there haven't been more AWD mods for the Supra tbh given the x-drive system from a m240i/m340i would probably make things a little easier than most AWD swaps.
  18. Toyota Teases GR Line Up: Supra MK6, Celica MK8, MR2 MK4, 86 MK3 and GR GT

Well said and I agree for sure. The Supra just wanted to be a great sports car, but gets respect from supercar guys because it looks unique and can make supercar power for very little effort/investment The Emira wanted to be a supercar, but the performance leaves much to be desired, the...
  19. Toyota Teases GR Line Up: Supra MK6, Celica MK8, MR2 MK4, 86 MK3 and GR GT

I don't hate the Emira but the reliability concerns me. Every Lotus owner I've ever talked to has said their car almost spent more time at the dealer than in their possession, but not sure about the Emira specifically.
  20. Driver Window Issue - Not going up all the way

After a bit of body work done on my door I had this issue and was able to move the window up and down a bit by hand. The actuator was busted by whoever re-installed the door and I had to get it replaced.
