  1. Exhaust to save weight, but not be too loud?

Agree. I didn’t realize until I took it out what a massive heavy sucker it is! To me the exhaust should be for sound. Some cars, it can make a difference in performance. I just don’t see it doing so for this car. Our stock one is not that restrictive. If you aren’t looking for a particular...
  2. Is this normal after a new windshield install? (Blurry HUD, Driving Car, Air Bubble)

I think you’re right. I’d have them come and get that bubble out. Iā€˜m on my 4th windshield. Didn’t matter the brand. I’ve had both. Homestead (track) is particularly rough on them. The solution for me, I finally convinced a fantastic PPF shop in my area to put a permanent protection film on it...
  3. Lightweight battery alternative

Smart on your part with that charger. I got the one PowerTex recommended on Amazon, only because it claimed to have some other idiot proof functions. Gave it a full juicing ? after it slapped it out of ā€wokeā€ function from BMS mode. I’ll look to install it next week. Hoping it should be fine...

    MCS by any chance? https://nasaspeed.news/cool-rides/from-stock-to-psychotic-allen-pattens-time-trial-gr-supra
  5. Transmission and Differential fluid change

Yup. It’s U.S. military specs for gear lubricants. So they can meet certain performance requirements set by the military, allowing them to sell to a bigger market, as long as the testing is done. Smart on their part.

Yessir. Required payment in full and had to wait months. But was worth it.
  7. Tampa Florida Supra Meetup

Hope you had fun & it was a good one! _____________________________________ Before the power goes out, wanted to wish y’all the best. Stay safe 1st and foremost. If you can drive your Supras to higher ground, go for it! This should be a hurricane worth missing.
  8. What did you do to your Supra today?

Picking my poison for the Supra today with hurricane Milton inbound. Hospital parking garage or my home garage on race ramps. At work she’ll miss any storm surge but be outside - protected between other cars ? Wife says hospital. She’s always ? right! Iā€˜ll use the ramps for the MX5. Dude below...
  9. Deepest GR Supra exhaust ?

Same. Would love to meet up! We were going, but it looks like Milton is coming to visit. Check with Jim at NASA and/or the track at Sebring before you plan on going. My wife and I are both in healthcare & need to stick around. Probably back out in November. Hopefully you east coast guys will be...

  11. Any bimmercode users for 2023 models?

It is loud AF but sounds delicious ? Are you guys forced to use all those quasi pronouns now ?? Which one are you @BMWAF - He/she/it or none of the above ?
  12. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Said it before ? Project Mu 999s are incredible! A step above the Hawk DTC 60s (once I started pushing her even harder). I also bought CSGs, if they didn’t come in time for the season. So now I have both - after we’re done messing around with hurricanes ? If you can get a set, give them a try...
  13. Toyota - Supra Sales for 2023-24

Niche car, absolutely. But before the Supra, Toyota only had the GR86. They needed this car badly. I honestly thought of Toyota as the Camry brand sprinkled in with some decent trucks & great hybrid tech. Not that that is a bad thing. But no one would have dreamed of a Toyota putting down lap...
  14. MHD Flame Map

I had a straight pipe on my RX8 and she’d throw flames all the time :flame:

Ouch…. I never noticed that ? On the OEM note (or any brand), how often do you change the caliper brackets, if ever? That was a maintenance item that would come up on my previous track cars.
  16. Any bimmercode users for 2023 models?

Hola ?? Colonel! Old thread got tagged. But I do have an update. Found out the car has less tire warnings/ issues without the TPMs installed. And no longer using brake pad sensors (thx to Bryan/Razor & Bob/Rock) has made this car so much more enjoyable, for me, one less thing to worry about or...
  17. Deepest GR Supra exhaust ?

This is exactly what I love and was hoping would happen with the Supra. So many aftermarket parts available for such a low volume car. Borla has been around a long time. Same with HKS. Probably why there’s such good name recognition for the both of them. You just don’t see many Borlas out there...

My Ohlins work but I’m only running 275s with 10mm spacers all around. One thing to consider with coilovers, are where and how easy they are to service. It’s good you’re checking all this out ahead of time ?
  19. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Many people run that size. Once you get them on, have a good alignment shop set you up with some negative camber front & back. Good article about them below: https://apexwheels.com/blog/technical-discussion/running-18-wheels-on-gr-supra-choose-your-tires-wisely If you can stick with the same...
  20. Deepest GR Supra exhaust ?

Appreciate it PowerGetter! I’ll send AWE an email and see if they can do the same. I would definitely stick with them if they do & eventually get the touring.
