Finding out I need to do the same for mine. Despite sitting in my air conditioned home and on a basic Lithium charger (not one with enough juice ? for this LiFePO4), the BMS was activated - āprotectingā the battery. It wouldnāt start my car & I put my old one back in.
PowerTex sent me the...
I went ahead and got a more specific LiPO4 charger that's able to wake the battery if the BMS is activated, since I have two of them. Looked like you had something similar on the PowerTex battery thread.
If itās not the rock guards, check the wheel well for rubber. Iāve personally seen many with marks on the fender when the hood is lifted. Whole thread on it somewhere when lowered.
Hope that does the trick for you. I had no issues with the Hawks. But I did buy new rotors for the front pads whenever replacing them. Thanks to their low price. Agree with Sean on getting that transfer film off the rotor (low grit sandpaper) when switching between different pad material/brands...
Crap ???
Good to know & thanks as usual for letting us all know!! Iāll make sure not to recommend them to car collector buddies or those who store their vehicles for long periods. Guess they have to be driven on a regular basis ?
Ouchā¦. good to know! Guess they are more prone to loosing their charge if not used? Hopefully keeping an idle one on a trickle charger would make a difference. Or only buy them when ready to use. Itās been great in my little MX5, driving a couple times per week.
Well said. I tried the RBF600...
Like Bryan said, ours comes with DOT4. It has better performance characteristics but also attracts water easier. Castro SRF is a lot more expensive but even itās wet temps are far better than most of the others dry boiling points. However, like many have said, itās definitely overkill if not...
After switching to LiPO4 (such as the PowerTex ones), I doubt Iāll go back to lead/acid AGM type again. Since they die off quickly approaching that 3rd year of use ?
Edit: careful if you let your battery sit for long periods of time. The lithium phosphate ones from PowerTex require a charger...

Great find Iggy Pete! I was actually considering purchasing that Verkline subframe. But it makes sense the more you complicate things, the more you can fcuk it up. And since Iāve been really satisfied with the performance of the car, Iād rather just get the bolts Robert/Thraxbert kindly located...
Iād definitely shop around in todayās market. Dealers are coming back down to earth. MSRP and the set dealer fee (itās the same for all their cars) should be the maximum price to pay. No junk fees. Some dealer are discounting even further off MSRP. You donāt need to see it in person.
Use the...
Glad you made out okay with Helene otherwise. If you can afford to fix it, pay for it yourself. If you put in an insurance claim, itāll go against your insurance credit score and theyāll get the money back in rate increases, in the long run. That being said, shop around and ask for...
1) Rockauto.com or your local auto parts store, ceramic pads will be low dust and work just fine if not tracking/repeated threshold braking
2) Castrol SRF. That high wet boiling temp canāt be beat. Well worth the $60 bucks
3) Motul 105777 GEAR 300 75W90 100% Synthetic Gear Tans Diff Oil (2...
Good luck with the replacement ? Lived in FL over 50 years. Youāre going to get rot here pretty quickly. If they donāt swap them out for ya, you should be fine grocery getting. At least you appear to be in the early stages of rot. Great excuse to buy a spare set of wheels and something stickier...
