Track buddy recently bought a 2016 GT4. I am heavily modified for the track and he is damn close- bone stock. They really are an almost perfect track car.

Kind of same reason Toyota traded EV tech for BMW engines- To keep prices affordable and entry level Sports cars. If you are Porsche you can redesign and engineer the BEST because you sell them for 100k per copy and up. Easy win for Toyota vs Z- Superior BMW engineering vs old in house...

The $40,000 level has crappy brakes and open diff. I think it is only comparable to our 2.0. That would be interesting drag race. Bet the 2.0 (i think it is dumb idea) would still give it a run.

If you are still stock 3.0 you are already slow..... these days to ME, will be interesting to see what mods the new Z can handle and how durable it is compared to superior BMW hardware.

think there are a couple out there google should pull them up. make sure the exhaust goes all the way back out the rear. turn downs are super obnoxious and brutal on the ears.
