I have had a bunch- mostly German- hence my ONLY interest in the Zupra
But last 2 were a BMW335 for track, mod, tune, fun
and a SL500 as my daily.
so now- Zupra as track toy and e46 M3 as daily
If you haven't bought SEVERAL high end Porsches already no way are you going to get an allocation- even if you had the 200k The RS will be some rare air

Track buddy recently bought a 2016 GT4. I am heavily modified for the track and he is damn close- bone stock.
They really are an almost perfect track car.

Both Toyota and Nissan wanted to bring back Halo cars at reasonable price points.
Two very different strategies:
Nissan, use and improve on existing platform and engine
Toyota, exchange EV tech for engine, suspension, etc from a top Euro sports car Manufacturer...
Kind of same reason Toyota traded EV tech for BMW engines- To keep prices affordable and entry level Sports cars.
If you are Porsche you can redesign and engineer the BEST because you sell them for 100k per copy and up.
Easy win for Toyota vs Z- Superior BMW engineering vs old in house...
The $40,000 level has crappy brakes and open diff.
I think it is only comparable to our 2.0. That would be interesting drag race. Bet the 2.0 (i think it is dumb idea) would still give it a run.
If you are still stock 3.0 you are already slow..... these days
to ME, will be interesting to see what mods the new Z can handle and how durable it is compared to superior BMW hardware.
think there are a couple out there google should pull them up.
make sure the exhaust goes all the way back out the rear.
turn downs are super obnoxious and brutal on the ears.

Bone bone stock. I can pass him on the straight and corners but mine is pretty far modified as a track toy. I have driven it a couple times. The GM motor and suspension is very very impressive right out of the box
