Yeah I downloaded the same gen 2 BEF ZIP to see for myself earlier.
When you say "max boosts so fast" that doesn't really mean anything to me. If you run Map 1 with BEF Bit 6 enabled, it should not exceed 16 psi at all... Which is completely safe.
Remember Boost2 is what actually gets into...
Here's a log of a Gen 1 BEF Map 4 I reviewed earlier this week:

IATs are not fixed. FF did not adapt super low. So these are not normal things for a BEF.
By the way, please do your logs like this. 2500 to...
i wonder if there is any downside to stacking an Absolute JB4 map with the regular MHD E40 OTS map... since BEF is not quite right.
Additive with the OTS map was OK... But you were very close to tripping your JB4 boost safety at 22 psi. That is the risk of additive. Using Map 4 wouldn't have...
Based on your pedal inputs, throttle, boost, AFR, trims all looked normal. though you said it only had the issue when you got into the pedal more. This was only up to 50%.
Also, not sure why your FF value is so low. It almost looks like IAT spoofing is enabled too since every data point is 78...
Missed this. BMS exclusively uses absolute boost control for BEF maps, so I have no idea what would happen with it as additive. You'd want to ask them about that.
As far as i know, you hadn't yet tried any other map besides Map 5 with the BEF. So I would really advise just testing it at lower...
My 23 burbled plenty stock, and now catless, it is excessively loud with pops. no unlock required.
Just downshift to anything over 5k rpm and it sounds like a drive-by shooting ?
this has to be a troll post right?
Just based on the boost numbers I'm seeing on your MHD datalog, I am certain that Map 5 with the BEF would be much faster. Its about 4 psi more boost.
Get confirmation with BMS about which BEF file to use.
And yes, having bit 6 on makes every map absolute, but does not change Map 4 or 5 at...
Dude I know exactly what you mean. Even on my 2023... Feels like the rear dances a little bit when it shouldn't, and at tame speeds. Had an alignment done by a Supra GT4 race team to factory specs and didn't make a difference.
I think you're right that the subframe bushings are just soft...
No experience with doing back-end flashes on Gen 2 B58s, but I've seen people do it with Gen 1. I would definitely reach out to BMS to make sure its compatible. After that, I'm sure the JB4 map could be dialed in fairly easily.
For logs, please make sure it is full throttle in 3rd or 4th gear...
I don't even bother driving the car on rainy days. Stock PSS tires + 45 degree rain + 500 lb-ft torque in a short wheelbase RWD car....? May as well take the practical car, because you aren't going anywhere fast.
It can already get a little hairy in in dry conditions, so I just don't risk it...
Yes, people do mix extra ethanol in, but should not exceed E30 in most occasions with stock fuel map (including any JB4 map).
Agreed that JB4 is not flex fuel at all. It just integrates with the E analyzer so you can make sure you have enough ethanol/octane to run an aggressive map that was...
For anyone curious - Here is the MT tuning strategy that worked for me. It is currently running 4-5 psi over ECU_PSI without throttle closure while catless.
This is on 93, so you can clearly see that MT fuel headroom is poor compared to an AT car. (trims)...
