I think we all agree that a Toyota dealer is the last place we want our Supras to be but you haven't got much of a choice. In your case, diplomacy is key. Since you need work done and they're the only game in town, you really need to play nice and think about a long term solution, ie: get it...
To be honest, I'm not expecting I'll need to replace them in the short to medium term. Sometimes branded products (or those that buy it) like to spread rumors about the failure of essentially the same product to drive business (and not look stupid) at 10x the cost.
Of course, just remember...
OK, but what do you think Burger Motorsports does with the returned units?
I would bet a not insignificant amount of money that they simply re-case any that have physical marks (and maybe give them a quick diagnostic test) before shipping them straight back out to new customers.
Umm.. That...
It's not an unusual tactic these days - every time I see such an open return policy I consider it detrimental, rather than a benefit. Apple resells products in a refurbished store. You don't really think Burger throws out perfectly good JB+ units do you? ?
Also, break open is a little...
Since Burger Motorsports have a JB+/JB4 exchange program, it's very likely a lot of JB+ units that are sold as new are in fact second hand units that have been exchanged.
This might explain the failure rate and also the inconsistent "factory" settings.
PPF shops will generally tell you what they want you to hear. Just tell them the shop down the road wants to use something other than whatever they're using and listen to their response. It's also amazing how they can spot faults in PPF work - as long as they didn't apply it. Absolute joke of an...
You're about to get a billion different responses because everyone bought the one they think is the best. I haven't heard a Supra sound better than an AWE Touring but since I own one, that's not really telling you much.
What I did want to say though, is that like you, I did my research adamant...
This just affirms what I said initially: This offering from Adro is simply a problem that didn't need fixing. I mean, it's not particularly bad but it's also not particularly better either. And why tf did they leave the awful emblem indent?
And you have no issues? I swear, mine with iMT (even after deleting the CDV) is genuinely awful. Since having turned it off a few weeks ago I have enjoyed driving the car a lot more. We should catch up sometime. Curious to see what yours is like in comparison.
