I bought these and they are cheaper and perfect. No blemishes. No problems with the edges. No fitment issues. Actual BMW hardware under the veneer of real carbon fibre. I've had these on the car for nearly a year now and they remain perfect.
I still think this is the most preposterous solution to a first world problem. Literally paying a man (or woman) to hand deliver a relatively inexpensive computer across the world. Absolutely fucking ridiculous.
I'm very much in a similar boat (with a 200 cell CAT because EPA fines here be...
I think this is just an artefact of a new model coming out. A bit like how much the 45th Edition has been lambasted. I'm just glad its not really getting a wide release so our cars - all editions have essentially the same general performance - stay at the top of the generally available tree.
No.
We are missing a module and getting said module to communicate with our cars seems very unlikely. I looked into it a while ago and besides being unlikely to get working (we're likely missing the coding for it to work too), the price/payoff just didn't compute.
I ended up buying a steering...
Never noticed it.
Must be the best way for everyone then. ?
Umm.. How about you enjoy having no HUD and I'll enjoy having one that I can turn off at my whim. ?‍♂️
I like a well designed instrument cluster, digital or otherwise. ?
I've actually coded my HUD so that it only contains my current speed without any other distractions. I even removed that stupid orange line which serves no purpose other than sit in my field of view.
I've done 12,000km (7500m) and my Z1L rock guards seem to be holding up fine. I still think they are way too expensive for what they are but they're doing their job well enough. What's happening with yours and how many miles have you done?
Beyond the S58 idiocy, it was a fairly good guess Toyota would adopt the GRMN moniker. I wonder why they didn't. And as stupid as GRMN sounds, whoever thought calling a trim "partially upgraded" needs to take some meds.
LOL. Never needed a speedo 2 inches below the speedo in my field of view. Apart from simply missing out, I can't see any reason why you wouldn't want a HUD, or at least the option. It's 2024.
I wouldn't be surprised if Toyota Australia try and sell the bullshit Australian track edition at somewhere near this price, with the two other trims coming along for the price bump ride.
And I believe those seats are closer to $7,000AUD each. ?
LMFAO. Looks like our "track" edition is actually just a regular "partially upgraded" Supra. ? The actual track focused Final Edition doesn't look to be coming here. Also, and not in our Aussie press release, Toyota has confirmed 2025 is the final year of the MKV.. as expected...
Umm.. what's the bet they haven't fixed the wind buffeting.. but they've added this? Is Toyota serious? This has Nismo energy. ?
But the Final edition seats look awesome - even though they're still going with this each side of the car is a different colour thing. ?‍♂️
