I'm 99% ready to pull the trigger on the unresonated Touring. How are people finding the ground clearance as it does look like it hangs much lower than stock?
Exactly how much lower it is and what's the weight differential compared to stock?
Curious what your cars are like compared to ours in Oz: Same shitty exhaust note? No red badging? How many trims? Etc.
Amazing how many small changes there are between models around the world.
Worth noting is that these updates may be UK specific as it seems like there are many minor (as well as major) differences to our cars around the world.
Case in point, I was reading that the exhaust valve in Australia works completely differently to the one in the US. UK engines are de-tuned...
After a lot of back and forth, I think I'm leaning towards an unresonated AWE Touring. Not so cheap but seems to sound pretty good and looks the goods.
Yeah, no. "so many people" = one dude, maybe.
I have never seen or even heard of one of these swaps. I have heard of many many automatic to manual swaps though - there's even a thread on here for the MKV.
Sorry but this just reads like another lame attempt to ignore logic and facts to...
Agreed. I think the bigger truth the majority of people car enthusiasts refuse to accept is that car manufacturers (unless its a very specific marketing ploy - I'm looking at you Honda) really couldn't care less about comparative track times. Manufacturer's build a car for as little as possible...
I call it as I see it and give slightly less than a fuck.
And in actual fact I'm sitting on a few dealer stories that I don't want to share until I get my car sorted and the fuck away from their incompetence. ?
Yes but I think @noogie was trying to say that cars should be tested as sold: Stock vs stock. While in some ways that isn't a level playing field, in many ways it is. All cars have different weights, power and torque figures but we don't feel the need to handicap those items.
If a manufacturer...
So I just watched the video. Great example of how many different ways can you can take objective metrics and try and negate them with private agendas, biased opinions and what-ifs. Good production values but the same YouTube tripe really.
No offense but you should keep your friend away from water, high places and perhaps breeding. Nobody is going to covet automatics or clutchless manuals over the real deal in the future. Nobody.
Rest assured your marginally faster car is going to be absolutely destroyed by the electric future...
