I respect the break in period but I prefer to break it in a different way. A long time ago I read a compelling site online (I looked but couldn't find it) written by a race car/bike mechanic and his method just made sense to me.
His method was pretty simple. Take it relatively easy day to day...
I don't currently have a Supra - although I did test drive an auto - It was great.. for an auto ;) but what got me over the line was that the car is not a Toyota at all and really is basically a BMW!
Not only does that mean it does not not get a shitty Toyota interior, but it also means you can...
Welcome to waiting hell!
And yes, I feel much the same way about the lack of communication; the demise of the ICE cars and the Supra's price point.. but I am happy to knock autos - manual is the only way my friend! ?
You're not wrong but I think it's more than that. I just find driving autos or DCTs boring af. It's not really a question of how good autos have gotten, it's about how good the manual driving experience was, is and forever will be.
Here's the Press Release folks: https://toyota.pressroom.com.au/press_release_detail.asp?clientID=2&prID=51915&navSectionID=2
Still no updates to the Supra page on the Toyota website though. Called my stealer and I don't know why but I always end up speaking to Jon Snow.
What do you mean? I think the stance Toyota have expressed makes perfect sense. Are you dreaming of a Supra GRMN? That'll be Japan only, IF it happens. And even then I suspect it will just be a retuned B58.
As excited as everyone is to hear about it, take your time man. I'm confident @Ryanthetemp was taking the piss too. We appreciate the info you've already spilled to us waiting plebs and I'm sure everyone is looking forward to what else you (and others) have to report!
LOL. That would explain why I can no longer see Awe's new wind buffeting ripoff solution thread. If someone wants to tag me in that thread, I'll let you know if I see it. What a joke!
Not quite. What I envisaged was a button that works and only works when a key is within the vicinity, ala the same way I presume the doors to work. My current car also works as you describe, but it doesn't have a boot/trunk release button on the fob. Having to unlock the car using the fob before...
Yeah, I get it.. but like I said, that's still a lot of work for a button that only works when the car is already unlocked.
Not to knock the effort but while your solution may be unique, it is no further a solution than the one presented in the video which was - in his words - a fail. ?‍♂️
