I'd assume, that given customs issues with declaring value, insurance through Visconti/PPE is happening through their business insurance, not through shipping insurance. DHL requires the customs value to match insurance value- and we know this isn't happening.
Well, for starters, you have to source a B58 ECU.. which is hard. Shipping is hard also, because 2x the weight in both directions. Then the fee to clone. There's also 2x the risk. Two ECUs getting lost vs. one.
I YOLO'd it with shipping and scoured for a compatible ECU.
It's about reading the data on it, not writing to it. They don't give a flying fuck if you put a Haltech in it.
It's all about protecting IP. AI, Self-Driving, autonomous driving, etc.
