  1. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

I'm assuming you guys are reusing your brake caliper/bracket bolts? I finished my swap to premium rear brakes yesterday and torqued them back down only to realize after they were marked as TTY fasteners. Since it's only for rears I'm not worried, but thought I'd ask as well.
  2. FS - Borla Exhaust | ~200 Miles | $1250

How bad would you like to get rid of it (aka, what price shipped to 29033) šŸ˜… ? Also, rough guess on what it weighs?

Back in like 2009/2010 I used to know some of the HART guys. They would rent out NL for a day to test various cars and then reach out to their friends asking if they wanted incredibly cheap track time to help offset their rental costs. I would take them up on it every so often and it was...

I would agree with this. It's a good testing track, but as power increases it gets a lot more boring. RRR is a great track for sub 400 whp with aero, or sub 300 whp without aero lol
  5. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Having close to 1,400 laps there now vs a single day at RRR, I'm obviously going to be biased lol. There's a lot of tracks I really enjoy, and very few that I wouldn't go back to. Like, I wouldn't travel back to Grattan since I live in the SE, but it was fun to drive while I was there on One...

I would argue CMP is more of a drivers track but I think it's 6 of one, half a dozen of the other.

Get the little rubber caps meant to cap off vacuum lines and put them over the end of the brake line. Zip tie it closed to prevent any leakage, then set them generally upright so any bubbles stay at the top. I've done that method a lot on my cars when they would have to sit for more than a few...

Give Zebulon a call about their various endplate options. They have some fun stuff that works well. The splitter comments are true that a fixed splitter would cause more concern during transit to/from the track.
  9. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Zebulon is one of the gold standards (to me). I've looked at AJ Hartman, Ciro, Zebulon, Verus, and others. Consistently the cars with Zebulon aero seem faster. Anecdotal, but if I was building a TA car I'd be calling them for a splitter/wing/side strakes.

I have to imagine in either the Supra or C5 it'd be more fun. Probably more so in something like an EG. Any car you're doing something in the turn would be more fun than the C8Z given it was more of a blast down the straight(s) and then just kind of pedal it through the never ending corners...

Like others, I've told myself not to modify too much and haven't always kept that promise šŸ˜… I'm prepping mine for S2 in SCCA TT which is basically camber, wheels/tires, drop springs, oil cooler, and maybe an exhaust down the road. Picking that class means I get good bang for the buck in...

290F is "fine" in the sense that the oil will do it, but I agree that it's a good idea to fix now before there's an issue down the road. This car does put some heat into the oil (makes me think of the C5 Vettes) and the one kit on the market is sized for the average track day enthusiast vs...

What temps are you seeing for oil?
  14. 3D Print Options for the Supra

I haven’t, but it wouldn’t be hard to do. I printed similar ones for my FR-S prior. The price would keep me from buying it since I’m not changing the tune. Im sure the amount of time that went into creating it is worth $65 to someone though. If you buy it/print it let us know. Or if you need...
  15. Cabin Space for Tall Drivers

I'm 6'2" with a 33" inseam and about 210 lbs. I fit ok, but have to duck my head to get into the car (which is a common thing it sounds like). The space inside is acceptable, but not what I'd call roomy. I'm comfortable though with the base seats and have done 8+ hour road trips without...
  16. Issues with steering feel , there is a little play .

I have a 2026 base 3.0 version, so none of the FE options and my steering feels normal. I haven't driven other years to see if there's a difference, but I can say mine seems pretty sharp with no dead zone in the middle. If anything, I need to check the toe as it feels like the front has some...
  17. Razorlab - 2020 LE build thread

I was actually going to suggest welding it. Small cracks like that are easily fixed, and you could even add some gusseting to the bracket that gives better support to the whole area. I only weld as a hobby, but that type of crack isn't uncommon in thin wall exhaust that gets really hot...
  18. 3D Print Options for the Supra

I designed and printed an intake muffler cap for the seemingly popular delete (pic below). This is supposed to make the intake louder, but really only removes about 1 lbs of plastic in the engine bay. I coated mine in clear coat to make sure it was non-permeable and no unfiltered air would make...

Don’t care a ton about sound. Was mostly looking to optimize inside the rule set and figured instead of $60 on a panel filter I didn't mind putting it toward a full intake instead assuming there was one that didn’t cause IAT issues. Building some heat shield and dropping weight was the main idea...
