That was my understanding that it was standard in the premium and that was one of the things that sets it apart from the base model along with the slightly larger rear brakes. Or at least that's what I thought. My premium has that and I'd have to look at the sticker but I know it's not listed...
Welcome! I have a white manual as well. Exactly what I wanted and I absolutely love it. I considered a ton of other cars but I feel like I made the right choice...glad I went white too!
Touche, I was generalizing a bit too much by saying everyone and agree with it having just the right combination of looks, performance, and features for the price - said that same thing actually earlier in the thread! And I get what you're saying about it being a Toyota to a degree and agree...
Cognitive dissonance maybe would be a better concept if someone is second guessing their decision and grappling with those thoughts and feelings counter to the decision they actually made. Confirmation bias probably is a bit more fitting since that would be the tendency to look only for...
I'm a bit embarrassed now. I just commented in the hill start assist thread a couple days ago and didn't even consider that'a what it could be. Thanks - it makes sense because it seemed to be something that I noticed most when I was parked at work on a slight decline facing a curb where I was...
Hi all,
Hoping this is in the right place for the forum and that it's nothing but wanted to get some feedback:
When I'm at a complete stop, put the car in reverse (it's an MT with 650 miles for context), and try to get moving, it sounds like the brakes are maybe sticking a bit? There's some...
I've tried my 2033 at varied speeds as high as our highest speed limits in VA and at all windows positions and am still waiting for the awful sound everyone described. Maybe the buffering doesn't bother me...totally wasn't expecting that but am pleasantly surprised. Maybe it just doesn't bother...
Didn't realize this - I learned something new today!
Random and probably dumb question since we're talking rev matching - is it a bad idea to try to manually rev match and then let the car sort things out if I don't get it just right? I'm learning the spacing between the gears and figuring out...
I get that. That would make the automatic much more palatable. I suppose that highlights how auto v. manual question can come down to a person's circumstances.
When I was looking to buy, I saw these threads get pretty intense like but it's a personal preference thing so I suppose that's not unexpected.
I know it's not this simple and there's more nuance but I bought a manual because if all I cared about it speed and cutting tenths of a second off...
Before settling on buying a Supra and then a C8 and ending up on a Supra again, I first looked very seriously at the M3/M4. I'm very happy with the decision to go Supra. It's significantly less expensive but the M3 gives you a really good combo of practicality and performance. Not a lot of...
Thankfully the dealer is about 50 miles from me (ironically the distance they may have driven the car before I got it)...if i had a good experience i would have maybe made the trip for service since I appreciated that the sales person called me when the car became available and I'd have...
Thanks! On both points! I see the lab name in the title there. I can probably just go look them up but how much oil is needed and how long did it take for the results to come back? Having some objective evidence like that would be pretty handy in a few different ways.
Thanks to the others that...
Quick follow up: thinking about using my MT Supra to go to work 60 miles away in each direction. Highway use is unavoidable to get there but what I figure I can do is go -10 speed limit to speed limit and let it engine brake down while never maintaining the same speed...but I imagine the load at...
That's a good point about the YouTube people or generally the group that doesn't follow break in procedure. From reading other threads about the break in it seems like the oil burning and other issues don't really have any real trends...though I suppose the car is relatively new still and there...
Hate to have my first post be resurrecting a thread with no post for months but...
I bought a 3.0L premium MT a few weeks ago. I saw the car the day it got to the dealership and came off the truck. It was covered in plastics and I couldn't open the door with the key fob (battery on the fob...
