I appreciate you sharing your experiences- When I was running the stock intake manifold, I would have timing pulled about 6-7 minutes into my session. The Wagner manifold definitely allowed me to enjoy most of the sessions without timing being pulled. The log I posted was just the worst case...
If only they made the pure700 still :(. I might have to go pure650 or daw hypercore then.
A couple of questions- do you think you hood vent is making a big difference for temps, or is that more for removing turbulent air in the engine bay? Also, did you notice a difference in trans temp running...
It was cool to see a lot of supras out. Usually I see one, maybe two, at willow springs and only one at laguna.
Did a 2:02:21. Had continental ECS02's on- they wore great but got greasy only after 2.5 laps. Not the best tire for that course.
I'm still trying to read all the info in that thread and I started at the beginning about a week ago lol. While I see these engines running hot but cooling down pretty fast, there have been mixed information about oil temp thresholds. Some have said synthetic oils begin sheering and breaking...
I was thinking more ethanol, the cooler the combustion temps but I guess the stock turbo is just out of the efficiency range at this point. Even though IAT's are high, I am impressed how much the wagner is able to bring down the temps from the pre-throttle measurement.
As far as solutions go...

Last weekend I was at Las Vegas motorspeedway outside track. I shared my car with my brother for his first HPDE...
no official company, just a referral to the person selling them. “Mpower Alex” on facebook
this is looking more to be wheel related now. Fingers crossed it’s that, and maybe continues to be an option for those with aftermarket wheels!
**EDIT** this information I posted is incorrect
Understood, the description for these adapters from the seller state they are for the f90 m5 calipers. I was thinking that the adapters differ, and they may have sent you the wrong ones. I now understand that these are the SAME adapters you would...
I was concerned the adapter brackets might have been the issue since they’re advertised for the m5 f90 rotor (395mm). I was able to reach out to a different supplier for these kits, and the adapters look to be similar in size. It leaves me to think that the caliper mounting position is not the...
The only thing I can think of is that the drop center of the OEM wheel is either more towards the center of the barrel, or there is a barrel taper that doesn't maximize the wheel diameter.
Could be worth investigating, but the whole point of this for me was to have a budget friendly brake...
Thanks for sharing this and doing your research!
Hmm very interesting. Pictures of it on a 19'' already look tight on the m3, but the 18'' wheels look like they're one loose wheel weight from catastrophe.
Style 824m for reference. Not a usual spec for the g80's. I'm curious though, if the...
Exactly that
Being able to source products via production cars will ultimately make these a lot cheaper than kits. I sold my OE brake setup for what I paid to upgrade the front and rears. It took some time to research and source everything individually, but virtually a free upgrade!
This is awesome information!
there is a company out of Latvia called “Tronik/engineering” on eBay that make full kits and adapters for their packages; but it was a bit out of my price range to run an experiment. Considering they’re out of the US, I can’t imagine what shipping costs would be to...
Someone just posted this on the g29 z4 group. Looks like m4 brakes with 19” oem wheels. Pretty trick setup. Apparently off an m4 according to the German-English translator.
Woah, this is an interesting setup. If this ever came about, I’m sure it would open more aftermarket options. What’s interesting in the front setup is
1) they managed to find a wheel where the spokes cleared
2) the used an m sport caliper rather than a true “m” caliper
3) I believe the m brakes...
Agreed, as you jump up in sizes you severely limit yourself to brake options. I've only been able to readily find EBC options (red, yellow, and blue) for 374 and 395mm brake setups. Rotors are even more difficult to source and haven't seen any aftermarket two piece rotor options readily...
Long time reader and wanted to give back to the community. I have a BMW z4 m40i that I occasionally track. I notice my stock brakes fading. The easiest answer was to switch out to more aggressive pads and higher temp fluid, but I disliked the idea of having to swap out pads between track and...
Also installed these coil overs about two weeks ago. Give some time to let the springs settle as I dropped about another 1/2”.
across the board I felt all drive modes to be more firm, where comfort was about a half step below sport mode with stock suspension.
Agreed- this was the best upgrade...
thank you for sharing your experience. @black_sedan reply actually lead me to an old post you made. This seems to be the right direction!
Obviously off putting when the screen shot of my data log shows “psig”
Thanks for the reply!
that sounds very reasonable; although I did double check my settings, and my readout settings for pressure is set as “relative” vs absolute. I’m under the impression that “absolute” would not correct for atmospheric pressure- but this is out of my wheelhouse.
