I stopped by the dealer today to resign my loaner agreement (every 30 days). Spoke with the sales manager who had been apprised of my incoming vehicle.
Interestingly, he has a white premium on the lot that is close to my config, although it’s missing the CF mirror caps and some garbage like the...
I financed through my credit union so the loan is being paid for and simply recollateralized with the new VIN. So my absolute payments (and costs to own) remain the same.
I have had the same thoughts regarding the delta in payments but actually I just drove a free rental car for 3 months. Not...
Just spoke with Toyota.
My replacement car is at the port in NJ where they’re going to process it.
Scheduled arrival at dealer on 1/10 but the dealer needs to do a collateral swap with my bank using the new VIN. Hopefully that happens quickly.
Need to re-buy my warranties too.
Light at the...
Sorry that happened to you. I know the pain of broken Supra...
Unrelated but it appears there’s some protective plastic cling on the mirror cap in the later photo?
I likely will at some point. I drove a rear drive BMW for 11 years and always managed without winter tires.
Anyhow, short wheelbase cars are generally awesome in snow, but the traction and braking will probably be abysmal.
Say what you will. When I took the phone survey they asked if I had considered cars like the M2 Comp (I had). They want my business and the business of others like me. They have it (barely) for now, and would do well to listen to this new segment of customers they’d like to retain.
It’s not...
I feel like I’ve been clear but I’m referring to things that Lexus does like wrapping the steering wheel to prevent scrapes, snacks and beverages, plush waiting areas, etc... THAT experience, not the actual repair and service itself which is no doubt the same.
I’m not suggesting we jump the line. You’re correct that some cars sell for more. It’s not about that, it’s about the customers they’re courting. We aren’t Toyota buyers and we’re not the usual customers. Toyota wants us and knows who we are, it would behoove them to consider that we’re used to...
And that’s how it is at the brands I mentioned. Like I said, Toyota wants the M2 Comp and Cayman buyers but they want to treat us like the 86 owners.
I strongly feel that Toyota should be sending owners to Lexus for service. The customers they’re courting expect that level of service. Not that Toyota service isn’t good, it’s just not the same as the BMW/Audi/Benz/Porsche experience many (most?) of us are accustomed to.
First two months a Camry (I honestly don’t know how people tolerate driving those), and since the beginning of December a hybrid RAV4 (which I quite like).
