  1. From Supra to G87 M2 or FL5 CTR or GR86/BRZ?

like I said..... You think the cars at the dealership are built the same as Cup cars? Come on, now. It took a single search to educate myself. https://900brz.com/posts/gr-cup-reliability
  2. Gears Not Engaging 2023 6MT - Really need some help here

I think you mentioned the original clutch dying after only a few miles. I'm wondering if there isn't an issue with the car itself.
  3. From Supra to G87 M2 or FL5 CTR or GR86/BRZ?

If someone needs to worry about a car dropping a synchro while doing a track day, then that car is a POS. Unless this is a "the sky is falling" scenario, of course
  4. Gears Not Engaging 2023 6MT - Really need some help here

I would do exactly what we are all telling you to do: take it back to the shop that installed it. Something obviously isn't right and the are obligated to help. That's what we've all been saying this whole time. It's acting like the clutch is not disengaging all the way. You need to take it...
  5. Gears Not Engaging 2023 6MT - Really need some help here

Agreed with taking it back to this shop, since this is obviously an install-related problem. But it's still fun to do the detective work, in the mean time.
  6. Gears Not Engaging 2023 6MT - Really need some help here

If the clutch weren't engaging fully, then yes. But you seem to be having the opposite issue. Your problem would be extra wear on the synchros.
  7. Gears Not Engaging 2023 6MT - Really need some help here

Sounds like the pressure plate is not fully disengaging.
  8. Looking for new home- 2026 Toyota GR Supra Final Edition Sale

*Memories of hitting my head the first two times I got in*. That was frustrating. Anyway, as soon as someone types "one of..." you know a cray cray price is incoming.
  9. From Supra to G87 M2 or FL5 CTR or GR86/BRZ?

After reading through this thread again, I'd recommend just getting the M2. I think you are subconsciously talking yourself into it by discounting the Supra while also comparing the BMW to two relatively incomparable cars. One is a FWD performance vehicle and the other is a problematic...
  10. From Supra to G87 M2 or FL5 CTR or GR86/BRZ?

Good luck with whichever way you decide to go! I guess I'll consider myself lucky. I'm considering another, so hopefully lightening will strike twice. :headbang:
  11. From Supra to G87 M2 or FL5 CTR or GR86/BRZ?

I did a full season of time attack with camber plates, wheels, tires, brake pads, and brake fluid (every single car ever made needs these, so not a deal breaker). I was faster than every other car in my class (classes based on a points system), including M-coupes, and various generations of M3s...
  12. From Supra to G87 M2 or FL5 CTR or GR86/BRZ?

Those are two of the craziest things I've read on this forum.
  13. Mission Tuning at home B58 Gen 1 + Gen 2 unlock via M-Link

The first guy that tuned my car never saved mine. I coulda choked him. Good to know the Supra community possibly has a fix.
  14. Mission Tuning at home B58 Gen 1 + Gen 2 unlock via M-Link

These are part of the reason I sold my Evo and Supra. CA was getting good at detecting changes to ECUs and I couldn't confirm that I could put things back to OEM enough to pass the CID/CVN checks. I seem to remember people editing files and/or having ROMs I didn't have access to, so I gave up...
  15. Blackout Plate

I'm okay with people doing things to negate the effectiveness of flock cameras, based on principal alone. If I could do something simple to block my plates, just to mess with them, I would.
  16. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Gotcha. I used Harry's for the lap timer (it was within .01 of my transponder) and to record/overlay video. The GPS gave me a rough idea of what was going on, but not good enough if you are actually wanting to use it as a tool for improvement.
  17. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

What kind of resolution/accuracy do you need? I used Harry's Lap Timer (Pro, if it matters) and never had any problems with it not reading. I kept my phone on a magnet attached to the windshield so I could view the lap times. I was able to use it to get an idea of where I could improve, but not...
  18. Supra VS GT350

I actually had no idea so many Supra owners also have/had a GT350. That's unexpected considering how different they are.
  19. Your Favourite Suspension Mods!! go!

The front is fine. You use the tie rods to adjust toe. :headbang:
  20. Necessary tools/track gear for new MKV owner looking to AutoX

How serious are you getting into AutoX? I grab a helmet and a small ice chest with drinks. I've never had to work on the car, so never take tools. Wait.. there was a season where I competed for local points. I took that serious and so also took my tire pressure gauge.
