I wash my car In the driveway and then pull it into the garage to finish dying it. I never set my ebrake, and Iāve had the āstickingā problem a couple times if I wait a few days before driving it Again. Go figure.
Iām with youā¦I think the gearbox (and clutch) are excellent. This car is incredibly easy to drive. My Civic Si and Focus ST were pretty darn good as well; WRX and Speed3 were not.
I had a 2019 Si and I agree that the shifter and clutch were both terrific. I then went to a GLI, and again agree that the shifter was good but not precise. I personally like the shifter on my Supra better than the Si, and I find the clutch take up to be very good as well. This car is...
TuxMat here as well. It makes the space around the clutch a little tighter because of the fit around the dead pedal, but it took me only a few minutes to adjust to it. Iām happy with the fit and looks.
Count me among what seems to be the few who actually like both the clutch and the gearbox. Every manual takes some getting used to, and not all shifts will be perfect.
Iāve been driving a manual for 54 years, and this one rates right up there with a Civic Si and a Focus ST as my favorite. This...
Sorry to hear.
DarkZupra gave great advice above. As he mentioned, donāt discount the trade-in option IF you live in a state that doesnāt tax you on the trade-in value portion of the purchase price. When I bought my Supra, I got slightly less for my ā21 GLI than my best offers from...
Metro Toyota in Cleveland is a solid dealership that was selling at MSRP. I had a preference in with them on a ā23 at MSRP but I cancelled when an A91-MT became available At another dealership. They refunded my deposit no questions asked.
If I wanted a Mustang, I could have/would have bought one! If the ā24 Mustang is faster than my Supra, I really donāt care. I accepted long ago that as nice or as fast as your car or bike might be, there will always be ones that are faster or nicer.
Forgot to mention that the Integra is manual only. I know you currently drive an auto and the X Drive is auto only, so the Integra might not even be an option.
Never had an issue on mine from the day I picked it up. Iām glad thereās a fair amount of resistance going left into R so that I donāt go there rather than first by mistake.
A friend just picked up his new M3 manual in a beautiful deep red that itself was something like a $1600 option. Itās a striking car as specād, but the MSRP was $85k. If you want a pretty large (it looks the size of a previous gen M5) high performance sedan, itās a great choice. For my money...
If I was in the market for a 4 door, Iād buy one of these without hesitation. Iāve always loved the Type R, but I didnāt want to feel like Iām driving my sonās car around (although the ā23 Type R is much more adultish).
I live in the Cleveland area and have seen maybe 3 others since 2020. Just yesterday, however, I saw a red one northbound on Interstate 71 on the side of the road with a state trooper behind him. Anyone want to fess up?
