Is this table temperature dependent? Basically, as the temperature increases, the air density decreases, so the turbo has to push more pressure to achieve the same MAF. So it could be that the distribution factor (or rather the associated WGDC%) is too low for the higher boost pressure. Or is...
  2. Razorlab - 2020 LE build thread

I would think about sticking with E20 and stock fuel system. I had the same situation and my HPFP was already maxed out on E20 (however I have a bit more boost in the midrange and over 800Nm with E20). Then the tuner managed to avoid the crash by using a "softer" boost curve under 4000rpm. Now...
  3. Razorlab - 2020 LE build thread

Am I correct that the access to 2 ignition coils is blocked by the low pressure line? Do you have to remove the LP line completly to change the spark plugs or can you loosen and twist it? I'm installing mine on the weekend but if that's the case, then it would make sense to change the spark...
  4. WGDC questions about overboosting

I think overboosting with upgrade Turbo and MHD OTS is completely normal. This is actually exactly the situation that @razorlab showed above. The WGDC table is tailored to the stock turbo, but you have a larger one that delivers significantly more air at the specified WGDC. This leads to...
  5. WGDC questions about overboosting

If I understand it correctly, the control logic points to a "distribution factor" and you have a "MAF" value that the DME wants to make for the desired load. But as I can see from your values you have an upgrade turbo that can do around 650-700BHP(?) , so you have to fill that table with your...
  6. WGDC questions about overboosting

As far as I know the boost target will be derived from requested load and other tables. I have had also overboosting, but if it was there then the situation was the following : boost>boost target AND load act>load requested. But in this case the act. load is 30% below the requested (230) but the...
  7. WGDC questions about overboosting

I checked mine and it's at about 3mm for 100% and runs perfectly. What I find strange in your log is that the target load is at 230 (which would be completely normal with a Pure Turbo, however the boost target seems not to match the requested load ) but the current load is only at 180-190...
  8. Check engine light and weird error codes after flashing MHD Stage 2 (93) OTS Map

I always get the CEL after flashing with the same code as you. You should start the car in diagnostic mode (press the start button 3 times quickly without pressing the brake pedal) and clear the error codes via MHD.
  9. Wanting to understand knock retard/ignition retard

If I were you I would ask the tuner to fix the boost control first. From 3000 rpm, the overboost causes throttle closure permanently (which can also have a negative effect on the ignition angle).
  10. Bm3 Stage 2 Multimap 3 E46 log review

Fuel can also cause it, but in this case I think it's because you have a slight overboost at 5600rpm and the throttle is closed slightly (to 90%) because of it. Your ignition corrections begin from this point onwards.
  11. HELP BM3 Custom tune results with dyno Can anyone help with some BM3 Data Logs

Interestingly, you already have throttle closing with the OTS Map too. That shouldn't be the case either. But as others have said, the tuner should fix the problem. But regardless of the fact that your boost control isn't the best, do you notice that your car runs significantly better or not...
  12. Confused about XHP and torque limits and Femto unlock

I mentioned 550Nm and it's the information from xHP. And that was also MHD's explanation of why they stayed below this limit , although their tuning makes a lot more. In Germany some people switched from MHD to MGFlasher when they were able to "overwrite" this 550Nm.
  13. Confused about XHP and torque limits and Femto unlock

That's interesting, thanks for the info! But does it actually mean that a BMW/Supra before 2020/6 without Femto Unlock has a factory torque limitation and that with Femto Unlock has none, so a tuning with e.g. 650Nm will work for the femto unlocked but don't for the old one? Or it can work if...
  14. Confused about XHP and torque limits and Femto unlock

I have a regular Femto Unlock with xHP and have no problems with torque limitations. Femto didn't specify an option for "ignore torque limits". And to be honest, I thought the ignoring happens in the logic of the tuning. My friend has an MHD OTS on his M340i and the limits (>550Nm) are simply...
  15. Cold air/Ram air**non premium

Thanks for the tip. Now I've spent an hour reading through the 2 threads. It's really interesting! Upgraded Manifold seems to be a must. I thought about that, but it was the first summer with the new turbo and now I've seen that under continuous load the IAT can go up to 70c, where the DME...
  16. Cold air/Ram air**non premium

May I ask which intake manifold you are using? I would be ultra happy if I could stay below 100F (~40c) . I'm currently considering buying one that's better than OEM. 70F (~20c) IAT is fantastic, is it the Wagner Tuning version ? They advertise around 20c/70F at 4.5c outside temperature. If I...
  17. Cold air/Ram air**non premium

Just a little tip. You should build a „closed” box and insert your inlet, to ensure that the air is not sucked in from the engine compartment. Like MST built it - with the small addition ,that a heat shield would be necessary to avoid the the heat radiatoion directly from the turbo (like the...
  18. stage 1 jerking on accelaration BM3

From these values you can only see the symptom but not the cause. I'll give my opinion and then we'll wait for the pros. The job of the throttle valve is to regulate the boost pressure. In this case there are 3 pressures: preTrottle-Boost, Boost Target and Manifold Pressure (MAP). The goal...
  19. Burger Tuning BMS Elite BMW/Supra B58TU Charge Pipe Blow-Off Valve (BOV) Kit

That is the vent pipe. It’s really stiff and easy to break.. I attach the part number and the place on the block where it belongs .
  20. Valvetronic threshold BM3 OTS Stage 2 map

Yes, I have to agree with you. I corrected myself because it seems to be daily business on BM3. And I'm actually here looking for experiences because I also got these 4/8 codes on my MHD Custom tune if I switched manually at higher revs. And if I got it, then I also got the 10D000 code...
