If I were you I would ask the tuner to fix the boost control first. From 3000 rpm, the overboost causes throttle closure permanently (which can also have a negative effect on the ignition angle).
Fuel can also cause it, but in this case I think it's because you have a slight overboost at 5600rpm and the throttle is closed slightly (to 90%) because of it. Your ignition corrections begin from this point onwards.
Interestingly, you already have throttle closing with the OTS Map too. That shouldn't be the case either. But as others have said, the tuner should fix the problem.
But regardless of the fact that your boost control isn't the best, do you notice that your car runs significantly better or not...
I mentioned 550Nm and it's the information from xHP. And that was also MHD's explanation of why they stayed below this limit , although their tuning makes a lot more.
In Germany some people switched from MHD to MGFlasher when they were able to "overwrite" this 550Nm.
That's interesting, thanks for the info!
But does it actually mean that a BMW/Supra before 2020/6 without Femto Unlock has a factory torque limitation and that with Femto Unlock has none, so a tuning with e.g. 650Nm will work for the femto unlocked but don't for the old one? Or it can work if...
I have a regular Femto Unlock with xHP and have no problems with torque limitations.
Femto didn't specify an option for "ignore torque limits". And to be honest, I thought the ignoring happens in the logic of the tuning.
My friend has an MHD OTS on his M340i and the limits (>550Nm) are simply...
Thanks for the tip. Now I've spent an hour reading through the 2 threads. It's really interesting!
Upgraded Manifold seems to be a must. I thought about that, but it was the first summer with the new turbo and now I've seen that under continuous load the IAT can go up to 70c, where the DME...
May I ask which intake manifold you are using? I would be ultra happy if I could stay below 100F (~40c) . I'm currently considering buying one that's better than OEM.
70F (~20c) IAT is fantastic, is it the Wagner Tuning version ?
They advertise around 20c/70F at 4.5c outside temperature.
If I...
Just a little tip.
You should build a āclosedā box and insert your inlet, to ensure that the air is not sucked in from the engine compartment.
Like MST built it - with the small addition ,that a heat shield would be necessary to avoid the the heat radiatoion directly from the turbo (like the...
From these values you can only see the symptom but not the cause. I'll give my opinion and then we'll wait for the pros.
The job of the throttle valve is to regulate the boost pressure.
In this case there are 3 pressures: preTrottle-Boost, Boost Target and Manifold Pressure (MAP).
The goal...
Yes, I have to agree with you. I corrected myself because it seems to be daily business on BM3.
And I'm actually here looking for experiences because I also got these 4/8 codes on my MHD Custom tune if I switched manually at higher revs. And if I got it, then I also got the 10D000 code...
Forget everything I wrote yesterday about torque limiter codes. I found a few logs on the forum and everyone has these codes, so it's not your car, but seems to be a BM3 thing, so "works as designed".
The others also have similar power figures and times as you, so everything is fine in terms of...
What are your mods ?
Any TCU tune ?
I can imagine, that it needs a little time to change the adaptations - but Iāve never experimented that.
You should maybe try to reset the adaptations at least for knock detection and octane rating (donāt touch the throttle!).
I don't know, it definitely sounds strange. I don't think its LSPI but I've never seen anything like it.
You start driving in 1st gear, and immediately (speed = 2 @1173rpm) you get a knock and the strange torque limiter code (128), and it stays there even after swith to 2nd gear. At that point...
It's hard to get anything out of your long log, but you have several error codes (Torque Limitations 4,8,128).
see here :

And - you probably don't want to hear this - 2 knock detection.
You will see them by...
I had a similar situation several years ago with a piggybox. To rule out a fault in the control unit, I would use the blind plug (you should get that with the piggybox). It should short-circuit the input/output channels. This means that the signals will be forwarded 1:1. If the error...
Yes, you're right. And I admit that I thought the topic creator was also using a regular unlock, which only allows calibration files.
But he has a Supra, where the unlock is not necessary at all.
MHD also has a MHD+ with custom ROM, but unfortunately does not work with the newer models...
Then you are one of the lucky ones.
But if you have CustomROM with limiters removed and fully customized software, then you shouldn't have any limit codes, right? There is eg. code "4" at every gear change, which means that the gearbox requires less torque from the DME to be able to shift up...
The 8HP has 5 clutches, some open and some closed - depending on the gear. Drifting is like driving with slipping tires, so yes, the clutches are closed.
If you need some info on xHP and generally how it works, read through their blogs :

There are some...
