Gotcha - ya I left it off and installed
broke the stupid breather hose clamp everyone else seems to (but promised myself I wouldn’t). Zip tied it…I think all good!
sounds like I can just skip it then?
I see what you mean - it goes into the smaller end of the silicon turbo inlet pipe and the clamp would go over it. Any reason I should do one type of install vs the other?
was this a holdover from the v1, does it make a better seal or anything else I...
Update:
the CEL went away on its own after 2 more 30 minute drive cycles. On the 3rd start it was gone.
I think the only way I can replicate is a 3+ hour drive.
Yeah - 12B701 is the one where I'd think it would come from what you described...but instead it's happening for me 4 hours into a drive and not under any other condition (even if I get on throttle early on a cold start for a 30 minute drive or something). So odd.
Ya, will probably end up filing...
Looking for some input from others who may have seen this.
Installed an Active Autowerke catted DP recently and flashed BM3 Stage 2 OTS (91). Followed the included catalytic break-in procedure to the letter. Car drives completely normal - smooth idle, full power, no limp mode, misfires, etc...
Switched to the black connector and all is working as expected. Thanks everyone for helping to narrow this down.
For anyone searching for this in the future:
For a mirrortap installation, do not use the pink connector. Use the black connector as shown in this video:
Yeah in this thread that I referenced before my install, [here], the video shows the same rain sensing tap install in the pink connector as I have shown above (what I did).
What's funny is that further down in the same thread another user recommends a different install video, but concludes, "...
1) Yes- I also have a Uniden R8 (nice). I just tested again. Powered on the unit (plugged it in), got out of the car, locked the doors, set a time for 20 minutes and set my keys across the house -- it's still powered on. When taking this photo, I did not have the keys in my pocket or unlock the...
That's so crazy! What is the main differentiator...because I know I'm not the only one who has this issue. Yeah, I used guidance from here as well + videos.
Thanks for the feedback though, at least it helps rule it out.
I have a radar detector connected via a mirrortap, and I can confirm it will not shut off after 7 minutes as expected. I've tested this with the keys across the house, checked back after an hour, and attempted some troubleshooting (e.g., turning the wiper lever to "off" rather than "auto" in...
May want to specify if these are the GESI or Active Cats. Judging by the price, I'm guessing GESI -- currently the AA brand new w/ Active cats from x-ph is $899.
I noticed that x-ph.com sells the Active Autowerke's B58 Downpipe in two variants, GESI & Active. After some reading around here, I've found that there was potentially a batch of faulty GESI cats which increased the CEL throw rate and the Active-branded cats were implemented to save cost and/or...
