Why doesn't Active Autowerke (AA) sell the Active Cats solution, yet X-PH does?

I noticed that x-ph.com sells the Active Autowerke's B58 Downpipe in two variants, GESI & Active. After some reading around here, I've found that there was potentially a batch of faulty GESI cats which increased the CEL throw rate and the Active-branded cats were implemented to save cost and/or address the QAQC issues.

1) Why doesn't AA sell the Active-branded cats themselves? I've only been able to find them on the x-ph website and nowhere else.

2) Are there any reported issues with these cats as well...? I can find plenty on the GESI, not so much on the Active.

3) Additionally, will AA still honor the "No CEL guarantee" if not purchased directly through AA? i.e. Would you make a claim through the vendor and they would make a claim on your behalf?

Thanks all!

I've wondered the same thing, but my best guess is they're phasing out the GESI cats, so trying to sell the remaining stock, as they're transitioning to their own cats. Or they're selling their cats for the same price, however if you get it at another vendor, the AA version cats will be cheaper than GESI.

They just came out with their cats, so probably won't hearing anything for awhile.

Per other vendors, they will still honor no CEL.

Source: me, I recently bought an AA cat, but with GESI cat

We're an AA dealer. We have sold 30+ of the new catted versions from AA. Not a single CEL reported, but same no CEL guarantee.

Not sure why they haven't listed it on their site, maybe allowing us vendors to do the work for them?

They have not yet updated their website, it'll happen eventually

There are zero issues that im aware of and we are the largest Active Autowerke vendor in the world

Yes, when buying from an authorized dealer, you get the same warranty. you can contact them direct for the warranty, they will already have your name and order number on records or you can contact our support team and we will create the warranty claim with active on your behalf

Wouldn't hesitate to buy from x-ph, I got mine thru them and got my order shipped within 2 days. Black Friday is the best deal I've found, and have been tracking sales for the past year.

Thank you!

What was the Black Friday deal? I noticed a few days ago the Active catted downpipe was $899.

Is sound volume the same between active cat and gesi? I recall there was a part in the description of xph’s post for the non-gesi dp on the marketplace forums that said more volume, was wondering if that is actually true or not. Completely guessing but I wonder if sound could potentially be the same, if not a smidge quieter because it’s more guaranteed no-cel with the active cats?
