I noticed that x-ph.com sells the Active Autowerke's B58 Downpipe in two variants, GESI & Active. After some reading around here, I've found that there was potentially a batch of faulty GESI cats which increased the CEL throw rate and the Active-branded cats were implemented to save cost and/or address the QAQC issues.
1) Why doesn't AA sell the Active-branded cats themselves? I've only been able to find them on the x-ph website and nowhere else.
2) Are there any reported issues with these cats as well...? I can find plenty on the GESI, not so much on the Active.
3) Additionally, will AA still honor the "No CEL guarantee" if not purchased directly through AA? i.e. Would you make a claim through the vendor and they would make a claim on your behalf?
Thanks all!
