Final pass on OTS E40 before going big turbo, didn’t really do too many ots e40 passes since i planned on going big turbo but this was the best one i got in hero DA. Turbo goes on next weekend
Yes i did Organic/Sinter

Standard
clutch honestly feels amazing, the engagement is a bit earlier than oem but that doesn’t bother me, if you don’t give it enough gas it’ll sometimes boggle whereas stock clutch you don’t really run into that problem. but other than that it’s amazing and...
They’re the same, i purchased through trucrane, but i got the DMF one instead which was a few hundred more, still significantly cheaper than CES.

yeah that’s what i was thinking, i have a built clutch in right now i went with PTB, my buddy is upgrading his setup so i’ll be buying his PI with 750cc injectors off him.
Used NLS and am happy with how she’s moving on E40 OTS, debating if i should go custom e50 or just save the tune money and go RP65 or 6870 top mount. Definitely future plans forsure.
Feels amazing, engagement is a little bit earlier than oem but other than that the pedal feel is very nice and easy. No chatter or any unpleasant feeling, i went with Organic/Sinter and standard for the plate.
brought it up at the meeting, we all agreed on the PTB Clutch kit, couldn’t decide where to source but with further evaluation i will most likely get it straight from PTB-Racing.
Phil
did you order from CES Motorsports? the total cost i think with the cnc billet dmf is 3000.
saw this https://trucranemotorsports.com/products/ptb-racing-dual-mass-flywheel-twin-disc-clutch-kit-for-b58-bmw-toyota?variant=51656735588668 for a good amount less but not sure on the quality.
yeah lucky phil, saw 16 pages on that main thread and got lazy at work and just submitted post as i was entering a meeting, could i get a pass this time around almighty lucky phil forum overseer?
Need to upgrade my clutch, am curious to the best options and the rq rating on them.
i see the obvious fx1000 clutch master and what not, don’t plan on going hybrid turbo for awhile so curious on what are some good options people are using and the ratings, thank you!
Gotcha sounds good. it said it was at minimum and on the level it was right beneath minimum, i added a quart just now and drove it around for a good bit and then retested it and it said just right below the max bar.
