Charge pipe Oring

Any one have any issues fitting the OEM intake oring into an aftermarket charge pipe? I tried to swap over the o-ring by the turbo, but it won’t fit in as it’s too thick. But can be put back in the OEM charge pipe with no issues. Is there a different Oring needed?

If youre talking about and using the FTP charge pipe, I had to take like a tiny black o ring off to fit it. There are no boost leaks from what I know nor has my tuner said anything about it.

No not FTP, CTS, I had to trim down the OEM gasket edges, got it to fit in the groove. Fits nice and snug now. Ordered a new one just in case, maybe it expanded over time

This right here. Been chasing boost leaks all last summer because of that little shite. The metal clip that slides onto the pipe/its orientation can get ya too.

i know this is very late but i have the ftp chargepipe with p900 and supporting mods. did some logs and the next morning i went to go to the gym and did a slight pull and heard a surge/hiss and felt loss of boost and been chasing the leak since… any insight is helpful

I Dunno man....... it's pretty straight forward.
Just check the middle coupler and see if it moved enough for air to escape.
See if the Clip popped off at the turbo outlet.
Check the throttle body and see if the screws unthreaded and the charge pipe is loose.
Check the sensors on the charge pipe and see if they unscrewed or are blown out completely.

Whatever you do not remove or cut the fucking gasket on aftermarket charge pipes.
lube the ever living shit out of the gasket and push it as hard as you can....... like a lady delivering a baby. Take a couple of breaks, breath and push.
Congrats you can now run 40lbs of boost.

Lmfaooo yeah chargepipe is fine, project gamma intake manifold bolt came loose, gonna run a smoke test here soon. was on 37 psi the night before and the morning after i did a baby pull and that’s when i heard and felt the boost leak

Don’t force it dry. slather that oily grease inside. Get it in there nice and deep.
