Haha. Itās like 17 bucks to fill up the tank with 93 here in TX now. I keep it sport mode 100% of the time. If I want to just point a to point b drive, Iāll take the 4Runner ($21 to fill that up with 87).
It just starts in sport mode - if I want it to go back to normal I can just hit the sport mode /normal mode toggle switch and it goes back to normal. I almost always drive in sport mode so i preferred it to start there without me having to hit the button every time I got into the car.
Oh wow, big difference. I love how my 2020 sounds stock and even better with the high flow single cat downpipe. I keep reminding myself that spending $2.5K on an aftermarket exhaust just isn't going to be worth the difference (as a US market Supra) after I installed a DP. That said, if I owned...
You're not far off. Recently installed a catted downpipe (powerneedy) and the sound is maybe 95% there vs. most of the aftermarket exhausts I've heard online (even equal or better than some I've heard). There is definitely a notable difference in exhaust sound even with a catted downpipe --...
Specifically regarding a recession/depression -- I'm not so sure. The issues we are having in our economy right now are not systemic; this downturn is directly due to temporary restrictions placed on the populace. You have to wonder about the bounce back as well, as some people are still able...
Where have you seen information about recent updates locking the ECU? There was a post in the MHD thread that speculated the ECU had been locked but it was just user error. I also recall another post about the dealer updating/resetting someoneās ECU and them losing their tune but again, no...
I had a 2016 Tacoma with the JBL system as well ā it was nearly as good as the Mark Levinson system I had in the IS-F. The Supra system is garbage compared to those two. I almost thought something must be defective, but no, that is how it is.
One thing I did that helped was to turn off the...
I was really torn between catted or no cat for the DP -- mainly just based on price and whether even bothering with a cat was going to be worth the almost $600 extra (which I can only hope won't ever trigger a CEL). That said, I saw Powerneedy came in with a good price on their catted DP this...
I had the ML system in my IS-F and it was fantastic ā but the JBL audio in a fucking Tacoma sounds way better than this. (Even my 2019 trd pro 4Runner whoās jbl system was last updated in 2007 isnāt as bad)
My hearing is kind of shit, so take my opinion with a grain of salt ā but it sounds like...
That is below dealer cost. I imagine you purchased it in Texas so its a Gulf States Toyota region and it would also be below distributor cost. Unless they got you on your trade in/financing (and your story is true) -- someone lost thousands of dollars on that car.
How many miles did it...
This is the color I have on order ā sight unseen other than a handful of real world (not rendered) photos of it around the net.
Thanks for posting the photos of it; they are best of this color Iāve seen. I like it.
You usually donāt have the full details of the deal and why they were able to get the price they did. Maybe they got hosed on the trade-in or financed with questionable credit through the dealer. You might pay below invoice, yet still provide the dealer with big profit.
Then sometimes with...
For 2019, transaction prices for corvettes run 90-92% of MSRP (transaction prices includes customer paid cash incentives; does not included finance/lease or dealer cash incentives). Highest discounts as a % of MSPR are on the stingrays with the Z51 package which sell for ~87% of MSRP. The ZR1...
Hah! Thatās exactly what you would expect them to say ā of course they want to make an extra 6K on your deal. I agree with the previous comment, Iād be surprised if these are still going for over MSRP after November. They arenāt planning to produce a ton so youāre not going to see them...
The bottom line is that it doesnāt make business sense to develop a sports coupe from the ground up at this point. Cars sales have been on the decline for the last 7-8 years ā so far this year the US light vehicle market is surpassing 70% SUV and truck, the highest it has ever been. In...
OEMs almost never lower the price of a model thatās already on the market (other than Tesla). Maybe youāll see some sales incentives and dealers come off MSRP, but donāt expect much (or a value package after 3-4 years on market). This isnāt a RAV4 ā they arenāt planning to sell many of these...
Iād be shocked if Supra sold anywhere near 10k/year in the US. IHS, a company that forecasts global auto sales, has C8 peaking at 23k/year ā but Iād imagine they thought would cost much more than it does now. If it starts at <$60k Iād say 30k/year easy if it isnāt production constrained. (And...
