  1. 2020 Absolute Zero built to perfection — 16k miles, $65k

During this time I actually sold my Jeep and got a Hyundai Ioniq N as a more winterable daily than the Supra… so at this point keeping the Supra would just be a luxury out of love. Would rather it get driven more by someone who will love it as much as I do.
  2. 2020 Absolute Zero built to perfection — 16k miles, $65k

Buyer is still trying to work money out on their side, but might be tough for them. We agreed that I’ll open it back up for everyone while they figure out their options. Because I’m not holding it for them anymore, feel free to reach out if interested!
  3. 2020 Absolute Zero built to perfection — 16k miles, $65k

I am leaving this post up but I have an offer I am holding the car for. It’s just that I am considering keeping the car because it is so good. The first week and a half with the GT4 RS including track time has been incredible. But if I sell my Supra, I’ll only have a Jeep for daily driving… and...
  4. 2020 Absolute Zero built to perfection — 16k miles, $65k

Price drop to $60k, or best offer. I’m hopefully picking up the replacement tomorrow so would love to have this moved sooner rather than later!
  5. 2020 Absolute Zero built to perfection — 16k miles, $65k

Hey all. I am putting in an offer on a GT4 RS, and so I am clearing out both Supras to help make room and take a little chunk out of the GT4 RS price. Selling this and a 1995 MK4 Supra, RHD TT manual swapped, feel free to DM me about that one too if you want. This car has been treated like a...
  6. [Modified] Crankshaft Sensor Codes after 25-30mins of Driving

Drove it for three total hours around town and then an hour long freeway trip and another hour after that of stop and go, all 95deg+ weather. Seems fixed… for now at least. Thanks y’all who pitched in on the thread. I’m carrying a spare fuse with me in the car now just in case it goes again haha
  7. [Modified] Crankshaft Sensor Codes after 25-30mins of Driving

Got some extra info. The harness fuse was cracked which could explain why it would only drop signal when the temperature changed. So just bad quality on that fuse plus probably the Utah winter causing the actual crack. That possible was related to reflex power fuse blowing, and that one was hard...
  8. [Modified] Crankshaft Sensor Codes after 25-30mins of Driving

Another update, trying to be a good citizen for any future people with trouble. Picking up the car tomorrow, diagnosis was two fuses that weren’t visibly blown but weren’t getting reliable power through them — main harness and power to reflex. Replaced and things look good. This feels like the...
  9. [Modified] Crankshaft Sensor Codes after 25-30mins of Driving

Finally got the car back today. Swapped Reflex box relocating the new one into the cabin and everything had tested fine, gave it a decent amount of drive time. So got the trans done Pure Stg1, a Pure 800, and got PI added. Drove home (55min drive) no problem. This evening, same crankshaft...
  10. [Modified] Crankshaft Sensor Codes after 25-30mins of Driving

I don’t feel like that much heat makes it into that little cubby, which is why it is okay for an insulated meth tank to be in there. But I’ve never measured it or seen measurements of it.
  11. [Modified] Crankshaft Sensor Codes after 25-30mins of Driving

It sounds like it is pretty common to hold it there, lots of people around here doing that and have held up for a long time. But after this convo and a few others I’ve decided I’m gonna move it into the cabin. Better safe than sorry in case the heat really is the issue.
  12. [Modified] Crankshaft Sensor Codes after 25-30mins of Driving

No it is in that corner pocket where some folks put meth tanks
  13. [Modified] Crankshaft Sensor Codes after 25-30mins of Driving

Hopefully last update here -- Motiv had us replace the box off the shelf and is receiving the seemingly non-functional box for diagnostics. Car is running great now. I'm assuming I won't hear the results of those diagnostics unfortunately. Interestingly, the first question they asked was "what...
  14. [Modified] Crankshaft Sensor Codes after 25-30mins of Driving

For sure -- my biggest pet peeve with trouble like this is when you find your specific issue on the forums somewhere and OP disappeared without explaining. I'm shouting at a wall but maybe it'll help someone someday
  15. [Modified] Crankshaft Sensor Codes after 25-30mins of Driving

Reflex box swapped and unable to reproduce any issues now. Problem is that it was just swapped with someone else's and they'll need it back haha, so now we've gotta reach out to Motiv probably through Visconti and see what we can do. Worst case I guess I just buy another. @zrk I think the bad...
  16. [Modified] Crankshaft Sensor Codes after 25-30mins of Driving

Sensor replaced, connections tested, no dice. Swapping the reflex box tomorrow. The journey continues.
  17. [Modified] Crankshaft Sensor Codes after 25-30mins of Driving

Update: shop pulled the t-tap on the crankshaft sensor wire and made a VERY secure connection haha. But the tap looked fine to them too. Drove well this time for about an hour but threw codes again after shutting down and starting up again a few mins later. This time was able to capture the...
  18. [Modified] Crankshaft Sensor Codes after 25-30mins of Driving

That’s super helpful info, thanks @zrk . The only time it struggles to start/crank is if I restart right after the codes are thrown and limp mode is triggered. Once it cools down back to cold start or close to it, it’s a super fast crank and start. I think the failure reliably after 25-30min...
  19. [Modified] Crankshaft Sensor Codes after 25-30mins of Driving

If it is the silver sticker on the reflex itself, 001884
  20. [Modified] Crankshaft Sensor Codes after 25-30mins of Driving

That’s wild, I wouldn’t expect those factors to bother the reflex hardware. But sounds like I’d be an unlucky case since I’m not built and am on stock mounts. Should be able to post back w/serial in a couple of hours.
