I had exactly this issue.
Nothing to with cold start, traction control or unsafe manoeuvring. Purely when applying a moderate amount of throttle (eg to move away from a red light), no response at all from the engine, the car would just creep forward (brakes off) with the engine at idle, until...
The Supra tech mentioned upthread is awesome. Totally knows his stuff.
The dealership's front of house service team are often confused about Supra service pricing and intervals. The correct price for the proper 1st service at 2 years is ~Ā£600. The ~Ā£300 is correct for an oil change. Whether...
Bit late to add a data point, but I received an email on 01 September 2022 saying the subscription had ended, although the car was registered new on 17 October 2019, so less than 3 years.
The end of service email invited me to click to extend, which took me to the UK Supra Connect page and...
Any fiddling with the downpipe, cat, GPF will likely invalidate warranty, may be illegal under your jurisdiction's emissions rules (making the car non road legal) and may invalidate your insurance if the car becomes non road legal. You would be advised to check the rules and laws applicable in...
To verify your I level, BimmerCode shows it on the vehicle information screen.
If the I level is below S18T-21-07-519, (Supra, 2021, July, 519) (ignore the 519 number) you wonāt have full screen carplay and the brake booster recall campaign has not been done.
If they cant / don't want to do the recall, can they / do they want to do, normal service work? Given servicing requires plugging in the ISTA laptop presumably they don't want to do that either.
If it's a full authorised franchised dealer I'd be surprised if their Toyota franchise agreement...

All UK 3.0 Supras are subject to the recall, unless they were delivered to the buyer with an I-level equal to or later than S18T-21-07-519, (Supra, 2021, July, 519 but ignore that last number), meaning the dealer updated them at PDI, as the UK field full of stock cars have not been updated.
There is no such requirement in the TSB, they donāt even need to open the engine bay, other than to attach the power source whilst flashing. They may want to manage their workflow so they have zero dead bay time, and hence not give a specific time for the campaign and the easiest fob off is they...
All model years end up with full screen CarPlay. If you donāt have full screen carplay, the I-level has not been updated, which means the brake booster campaign has not been completed (if your vehicle was subject to it - my understanding was every 3.0 supra made was the subject of the recall)...
You may want to put in place a written timeline whereby the dealer agrees the car will be fully repaired and available to collect on x date. If the car is not available to collect, fully functional, on that date you may elect to withdraw from the purchase contract, with a refund of all amounts...
Correct. Itās now running March 2020 and it was previously on March 2019.
The recall campaign updates it to July 2021 or later. S18T-21-07-519 (or later). The last digits are not sequential over the life of the car (they may be within a calendar year but I donāt know).
