You should have no oily residue coming from your exhaust. Don't confuse it with the normal residue of carbon and moisture that leaves your tips dirty over time. Although, if you are consuming that much oil to where you begin to have residue build up you would more than likely be seeing alerts...
No, I checked it last week to vote on the consumption poll, still at the full mark. Haven't seen anything that would show indication that it has any odd consumption problems.
With 21' models being limited for those that can be tuned I thought I would offer mine up for sale incase someone is looking. Car is paid off, clean title in hand. I'm not really needing to sell it or anything but am going to be building a car with my son, so selling it would simply allow me to...
Doesn't Europe and Japan have a more restrictive exhaust than the U.S. I know I saw something about them having a different mid pipe or something like that. Perhaps it was designed with one of those systems as the base reference and they were able to pull out 30hp peak somewhere. Granted...
I looked at those as well when I was shopping around, I ended up getting the ETS catted version though. It is a GESI cat, I preferred the flex bellows used and overall design of it.
Fitment was perfect which made installation a breeze. Took about 40 mins, but would have been quicker if I had...
Seems like they are making it more complicated than it needs to be. At this point you can really just use the Mobridge and an Audison AP8.9 or APF8.9 depending budget and preference. From there If you're wanting a sub as well use an AP1D or APF1D. Will give an extremely good sounding and...
That has always been the case with the HKS mushroom filter, but at the end of the day it still outflows any other filter and for it's intended use(the track) it works really well. If you're someone that daily drives your Supra then no it's probably not the ideal filter to have. If you just bring...
It is the best route to take IMO, and it does work correctly. Granted I find that in general more than a subwoofer upgrade is needed in this car as the factory audio tuning is some of the worst I have heard especially for being considered a "premium" system.
No problem, I've still not been able to get the other couple pieces I'm wanting to use for the build so haven't made any other progress sadly. I may just end up using stock speakers tho for the time being and get everything else ran.
Mobridge does work with the car. I temporarily installed it to make check and see. However some of the items for my build are still backordered so I have things back to stock for now.
Of course if you are only wanting to add a sub added then the traditional Hi-Low approach is still much cheaper.
Well I was pretty interested in the Red Star piece but after being on the website it seems kind of like a shady deal. Quite high shipping and no option to choose a payment method from what I saw. If there was a US distributor for them I would probably get it though.
UPDATE:
Been a bit slow with this as it is still summer in the south, and I'm not a fan of the heat. Today I went ahead and tested out installation of the Mobridge DA1.
Installation was a success and I was able to convert the OEM signal to toslink. My next step will be working on the...
Earlier in the thread I had posted this is the one I used.

Yes, you just plug it into your phone and choose ethernet. There isnt a pc app it's still IOS or android phone needed. I just prefer the hardwire method for speed and reliability.
