I'm looking at these three catted down pipes and can't make up my mind. Will be going with a full MHD or ECUTEK tune with the downpipe.

CG DS-1 catted downpipe
AMS catted downpipe
Active Autowerke catted downpipe

Speed Industry has indicated that the CG DS-1 is thier favorite and has a true 5" inlet.

I am new to the turbo world and am not familiar with any of these companies.

Would love you guys' thoughts.

If you dont care about a check engine light, whatever is cheapest.

FYI, there is a used Active Autowerke downpipe in the classifieds.

What's more important for you?
Sound, max flow, price, legal compliance, support, all of the above?

I bought active autowerke catted dp from extreme power house. I live in NY where emissions inspections are a pain and I’m not taking any chances.

I looked at those as well when I was shopping around, I ended up getting the ETS catted version though. It is a GESI cat, I preferred the flex bellows used and overall design of it.

Fitment was perfect which made installation a breeze. Took about 40 mins, but would have been quicker if I had a lift instead of having to use a jack.

AA is the best bang for buck. We have the AMS one in stock. Can work you a deal on both!

would the AA downpipe fit with an Akrapovic exhaust/link pipe (or just skip the link pipe)? Trying to see if it's worth saving money to get a ~1k AA downpipe vs spending 2.2k on the Akrapovic one just to have the full set - especially when it seems the AA seems pretty reliable for not causing a CEL.

Second question - what is the " turbo to downpipe gasket " option?

So I just got the AMS Catted downpipe, that and Active Autowerke both use a GESI Cat and are EPA approved.

Difference is, the AMS used a newer 85200 GESI cat which is a 400cel and the Active Autowerke uses an older 85000 GESI which is an 300cel, both are rated upto 850hp. Not sure if Active Autowerke updated their downpipe recently though.
