  1. Jalopnik: New Toyota Supra Rendering Based on Insider Info

That looks like its a few decades behind the times. Even if it hits all the right specs I don't think I could stomach that design. It doesn't help they put those nasty wheels on it but still. I hope they are way off the mark here.
  2. What will the FT-1 be called? Supra trademark revived by Toyota!

Can't wait. If the rumors are true this is going to be an awesome Tokyo show. Hoping an official Supra concept drops alongside this sub 86 concept. Also maybe some Nissan Z related news I read.
  3. Graphite Toyota FT-1 Second Concept Coming to Pebble Beach (Updated to Include Various Auto Shows)

FT1 is 1.5 years old... give me FT2... or rather the 2016/17 Supra concept ! Cool photos btw.
  4. New Supra and Z4 will share platforms

Totally agree that being built in the same facility could mean more than just shared platform. It would make a lot of sense for both companies to build and assemble as much in common to save costs. Also wondering will moving production to the US (hypothetically speaking) mean a slightly lower...
  5. Toyota FT-1 concept & A90 Supra design dissected

Luckily what works best for aerodynamics often looks better from a design POV too. Low CoG, hunkered stance, sleek, lots of curves etc. Everything I hope the Supra MKV will be...
  6. 3rd gen G29 BMW Z4 (2019-202X)

11 years is crazy long for a Z4 replacement but I guess they want to get the Z5 out to market first. Either way it sounds like BMW has a lot riding on this new co developed platform which can only mean good things for both companies.
  7. Consumer focus groups/surveys/feedbacks for new Supra?

Unfortunately engineers don't control the purse strings. Luckily Toyota is in a good financial position. Look at Nissan, the first programs that nixed are the exciting enthusiast cars (like the IDx) that are a gamble compared to dull grocery getters that sell to the masses.
  8. 2015 Mustang Thread

Good to see Ford finally embrace the 21st century. Here is a good video I found, it sounds pretty crazy.
  9. Wish List for the new Supra / Must Have Futures and Options!

2018 and after would definitely be a deal breaker for me. I can't wait that long. Also needs to be 3300 pounds or under and above 475hp for me to seriously consider it. Less important, but I have faith the design will be good.
  10. Toyota Press Release: FT-1 Concept Coming to Gran Turismo 6 on January 14

Well they got the FR-S for a small sports car already. The MKV Supra will definitely be bigger than the FR-S.
  11. Possible Debut at Tokyo?

Sweet! Guess we'll see soon how much that guy actually knows
  12. Toyota Press Release: FT-1 Concept Coming to Gran Turismo 6 on January 14

Cool! too bad this pretty much means no new concept or anything in Detroit and probably nothing for a while. :nono:
  13. 3rd gen G29 BMW Z4 (2019-202X)

Still wonder if there will be any shared design at all or completely separate. Given some of these reports it could be possible it shares something other than basic dimensions. :dunno:
  14. First 2017 Supra Mule Spied at the Ring?

Companies use the winter to cold climate test their cars.
  15. Mustang vs FT1 Supra

The GT350 and regular Mustang have the same interior basically and they're both bad looking. Better looking than the craptacular Camaro interior though. And if the GT350 was meant to be a pure track car it would have a more basic stripped out interior to be lighter like the Camaro Z28.
  16. Toyota may build Supra convertible / targa instead of 86 convertible

Pretty but maybe a weight or performance penalty unless they design the car ground up to also be a convertible.
  17. FT-1 / A90 Supra and Competitors' Dimensions Compared

You woudln't know better than a Toyota rep right? Well someone in the company said it'll get a size reduction so I'll take his word. An FR-S is a 2+2 and it's much smaller than this so that makes no sense either. The new Mustang even grew in size over the last one no? So that's no car to target...
  18. Mustang vs FT1 Supra

Nice car from the outside but I really can't stand American car interior designs. This one is no exception. Why's it have to be so upright? Not sporty or personal feeling at all judging by the pix.
  19. The Lexus LC500 & LC500h, Plus LC-F Talk

Looks and sounds like it'll be a great car but why revive the SC name at all? :bonk: No one who knows anything about cars thought about the SC as a sports car. Why don't they call it a LF-C or something? Like a follow up to the LF-A mame.
  20. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

Debating manual vs auto is like arguing about politics and religion. No one ever admits they're wrong :) It's all just personal preference anyway. To each his own as long as Toyota offers both options then everyone should be happy. I'm bored in anything but a manual car and feel completely...
