haha thanks guys.
yeah, I certainly dodged a bullet there. Last I heard, Marin’s website was dissolved. Perhaps he dabbled in some pharmaceuticals he shouldn’t have. I don’t know. I went with him at first because he posted something about a very popular tuner that he supposedly taught...
I hate to be “that guy.”
I have researched on FB group chat and here and can’t find a solid tuner
Earlier this year, I purchased a tune by Marin. Received the ecutek dongle and the clown NEVER tuned it. I waited about three or four months and I received excuses after excuses.
Now, I reached...
Yeah, no worries.
Unplugging the sensor was the only tricky part. I didn’t wanna break the tab. But you have to press pretty hard. (At least in my case)
Just make sure you have a pump to add the fluid back in. Fill until it comes out the hole. And reinstall everything. Super easy.
Yeah, I believe the new laws are very recent.
if my tuner does the same, I think I’d be fine. But it sounds like they don’t do that anymore.
I guess anybody tuned from this moment forward won’t be passing smog.
I was about to get my car smogged and asked someone that just got it smogged if I should reinstall my cat.
He mentioned that the new law states that tuners cannot do anything to help defeat the emissions. Such as ecutek no longer has that option in their program.
Last thing he mentioned was “i...
Did you tune it recently? I want to get it tuned as well. But Parnell
Did you get it tuned recently? I believe Nevada won’t pass it anymore if you got it tuned after the laws have changed.
I don’t have a problem with reinstalling the cat. It’s the fact that every year, you will have to take...
So I have a tunable 21 6 port. Installed the catless DP and havent tuned it yet (eventually).
So the smog test is due in Vegas and they do not use the sniffer test.
Rather they check your ecu and look for codes to pass it.
Does anybody here know how to pass smog without having to reinstall...
I had the same problem. I lowered the tire pressure to around 30 psi and it significantly reduced the swaying.
But if I was going fast on a huge sweeper, the esc would kick on occasionally.
All of those problems were alleviated when I finally changed my front tires about 5,000 miles later.
In...
So last week some idiot hit the front of my car while I was waiting to turn.
Just curious if you guys know any good body shops in either SoCal or vegas.
Took my car to an auto body shop years ago (for my Audi) and they did a horrible job.
Worried it’ll be the same thing. And does Toyota sell...
Oh they are THE WORST! I’ve one car salesman that wasn’t a total schmuck in my entire life. Some Asian dude in Acura Claremont Ca about in 2005. He didn’t try haggle you or anything. He was pretty cool.
My worst was Infiniti in riverside. (Don’t ever go there people in California… in fact, why...
I think it was Bridgestones. I forget the name. Just went with cheapies until I get new wheels.
But this seems to be a common problem with our cars it seems.
I just went through the same thing last month. I posted something about it and found some resolution if you wanna read about it.
I decreased the air pressure down to about 32 lbs and that seemed to help a lot.
After about 500 miles, it doesn’t seem to float as much and tracks straight.
As far...
Buy the Lexus.
my last Lexus lasted me 250,000 miles and I beat that car down. And I treated that car so poorly. Never changed the transmission fluid, original spark plugs, changed oil every 10,000-15,000 miles, never changed the diff fluid, etc.
the only thing I had to replace were the struts...
I just wanna know where it originated.
And it was actually funny the first time I heard it when I bought the car two years ago.
It’s just stupid hearing the same dumbass joke two years later.
So this evening I was driving home with the windows and drove past some goobers that saw the car and yelled “is that a Supra?!”
When I first got the car, I didn’t mind it much. But the more I hear it, the more annoyed I get. It kinda infuriates me now.
I thought about it and now I’m genuinely...
As mentioned earlier, I alleviated the problem with reducing my tire pressure.
I was thinking the same thing. How does jacking your car up screw with the suspension? Makes no sense.
As I have mentioned previously, the problem was solved when I adjusted the tire pressure to a lower psi. The...
It feels “floaty.” You don’t feel anything different from a dead stop. But when you get to 70-80 MPH it feels like you tires aren’t touching pavement.
As I mentioned earlier, I was on the freeway and the ESC would kick on at the slightest turn. It was strange.
