Thanks for the response. I know that. I've also been a part of car communities in the past where Sponsor's suddenly started having major issues with accepting payment for items and failing to ship the shit, sometimes close to a year after the orders, and some how these vendors still retained...
So yea, as the title says, I've been away from these forums for a little bit, maybe over three years. I've been put into a position recently where my Supra is about to become my daily driver (has been a garage queen/weekend warrior car since 2020). I currently have a Catless Downpipe and I'm...
THIS required a new front strut and spindle?!?! If you had told me that one of your kids got carried away pushing your city provided trash can out to the street and accidently slammed into the front of your car, I would have believed you!
All jokes aside, since it's apparent this has been posted before and I missed it, can either of you post a link to the previous thread? I would like to see if OP is a member here, or perhaps you guys could simply fill me in?
Sounds exactly like my experience minus the "smokes like a chimney for a good bit part". My car will literally stop smoking like 2 seconds after I've completely stopped.
My car has been doing this on and off for well over a year now. Some days I can drive the car all day without seeing any smoke what-so-ever, but then some days it will happen once or twice. My issue is that the little wafting of smoke only ever happens when coming to a stop and once I am...
Can't really tell from this picture. The end of the coil spring, the part where it looks like the spring was snipped or cut off, should literally be flush with the "butt" end of the spring retainer (spring perch). They should butt up to each other.
Yea..... my tuner specifically told me that they left my torque values roughly the same as what they were when I had it tuned on 93 octane, which was roughly 530wtq. He specifically mentioned that it was to keep the transmission as safe as possible.
OP how long did you have the car tuned on MHD, and were you custom tuned and running an E-blend? My car was custom tuned on E40 and made right at 505whp and 542wtq. I drove this car like it was stolen for close to 6,000 miles on that tune and have had literally zero issues, that was until Toyota...
When you say fucked, do you mean it's literally busted as in you can't drive the car at all, or do you mean that it's "fucked" as in it's slipping at a specific RPM in a specific gear? If it's just slipping in the higher gears at higher RPM's, before you go swapping tuners I would recommend...
